Just to inform, KSA Technology went by a logo change to represent its new age.
It will keep its quality that has been provided since the release of PWLib 1.0, and too its user support that is one of its founding pillars.
Also to let people know, it will keep developing PWLib without copying things from anyone and saying it is his own.
One change that comes is that new features will be announced on a restricted manner to avoid copy by other parties. Unfortunately, due to recent events, this is the best thing to go by for now.
But as always, we will deliver the quality that PWLib was based on since its first demonstration.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As news, PWLib 1.2 release will be as soon as Shinku gets completed and some interface related issued get worked out.

So we won't get regular updates? Aww... I wanted to be informed. Oh well, i guess it's for a good reason. We do want PWLib to be unique, of course.

I'm currently in need for the classic location buttons, just to provide them as part of PWLib 1.2's new GFX package.
This would help developers who would want to use the default, already present locations from GS games.
Each one should be separated one per file as well.

Heh. Call me a complete Idiot. But....

When I went to the website to get the FULL INSTALLER,

And it says the file is not there. :igarashi: Well, I'm not a programing genius, so I have no clue how to set up the files in order to install it, or... whatever you have to do... :payne:

Anyway!

Is there some way that you could re-post a new updated version of the full installer?

OR...

Give a set of instructions on how to set-up the thing? :meekins:

I need to talk with lukebg about the installer.

To setup PWLib:

Download the core 1.1.
Download thr GFX 2.0.
Unpack the core on a folder.
Unpack the gfx on the same folder.
Get the d3dx9_34.dll on the net (use google or look on the previois page of this topic for a link to it) and put it on the folder.
Get the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 SP1 Redistributable from Microsoft site. Install it.
Done.

You know, this may just be me, but a few of the animations from the first characters inputted seem a little...off. Like for example, Godot's chugging animation isn't fast enough, in my opinion. Some animations that should only play once and then jump to another, don't (Franziska's Damage). Some of them the positioning is slightly off. I was wondering if, since KSA said himself (I think...) that PWLib was to be as close to the AA games as possible, and seeing how the vast majority of games being made with PWlib that are aiming for a realistic feel to them, some minor changes should be made to the animation scripts. It would be nothing more than a few frame delays, character positions, and/or frame repeatitions. I would be more than willing to make the edits myself, if its okay with everyone else and if anyone also saw a need for this.

The problem is that you're not including the file correctly. with PWLib fully installed on a folder, all you need to do is:

Write your script and save it on the auto folder.
Let's take this example:

Code:
#include(pwlib/pwlib.hlsl)

[game]
runscript("pw_initpwlib");
runscript("pw_initpwbgs");
runscript("pw_createmaya");
changetitle("Simple");
jumptoscript("run");

[run]
runscript("pw_usepwbgcourthall");
runscript("pw_showadvarrowmenu");
runscript("showpwchar");
runscript("pw_enablemayanormal");
runscript("setlipsynctochar");
runscript("pw_showmessagebox");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtomaya");
jumptoscript("scene");

[scene]
message("Ladders!");

Then save it as, say, simple.hlsl and put it on the auto folder.
Now just run AIGE.exe. Maya will greet you with "Ladders!".

It depends on what the developer did, so keeping the same formation that it is on the game's provided package is primordial.
You can put the script file with the [game] folder on the auto folder, but not the gfx.

A little talk about the Languages on PWLib.
Let's suppose you made a game 50% on AAO and then decided to migrate to PWLib. You would use the Suigintou Integration Language as the conversion bridge. But as so, would you need to use Suigintou to finish the game?
The answer is: no. You could start using Shinku, or classic PWLib code or even go switching back and forward from both languages.
You are allowed to switch the language you're developing in. Of course you can't change a cross examination mid-way, but you could develop a Cross Examination A with Shinku, a Cross Examination B with Suigintou and a Cross Examination C with classic PWLib.

If you are at liberty to state which game it is for (i.e if it's one already released) then perhaps you could help us by letting us know of its name, or pointing us to it's files, so that we could check for you?

If it is for my Case 1-1, all of the games content needs to remain in a folder called Case1-1 . Meanwhile the case1.hlsl can be put into the auto folde.r
If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

No release date expected.
PWLib has a different concepts then other casemakers: it just don't go on a 100 release spree just fixing one bug that comes up or adding new minimal features. Instead, PWLib releases focus on making a new version worth updating to, with massive and groundbreaking new features all in one single release.

I'm working on more things aside from Shinku, so it will take longer then expect. That's why I don't like posting possible release dates.
