That is freaky, and does sound like a save/load problem. Do you still have the offending save file? I.e., the save that when you load it was messed up? It will be in games/ts_demo/Turnabout_Substitution/save

Spoiler: if you're stuck at the beginning of the cross
Have you pressed every statement? Also, when pressing a certain statement, you are given several options: have you tried all of them?

EDIT:
Spoiler: if you're stuck a bit later in the same cross
Regarding the contradiction... 1) think of the consequences if the killer were to drag the victim's body in the hallway 2) look carefully at the description of a certain piece of evidence.

Hey, I know it's been said a long time ago that the "unable to save" problem has already been solved, but I seem to still have some issues with it and can never save my game... I downloaded it just recently, so I'm assuming I have an updated version, but it still doesn't work? Not really sure what to do, I'd be really grateful if anyone could help!

First, when you run it, what version of PyWright does it say that it's running? It's possible that the auto-update is not working, and you are in fact, running an older version.

Second, can you describe the problem? I have heard reports of things being a little screwy, albeit still playable, after resuming a game; and I think there was a point in time when trying to save crashed (oh the humanity of that). I don't think I have heard of save just not working. Have you tried both pressing F5, and clicking on the save button? This could be a separate issue.

oh I see, that's good to know. I haven't been able to download the game. I've gone to the site to download, but what am I suppose to use to upload it. Firefox? I'm not sure, I'm sorry guys, and I'm still new and I'm so confused, sorry.

Press the link to download Demo 2.0 you will be taken to megaupload.com. On the right hand side there should be a CAPTCHA-- a picture with a random assortment of letters and numbers. Type that into the textbox to the immediate left of the picture and click "download file." You should be taken to a new page with download buttons on the bottom left corner. Select the black "Regular Download" button. When it asks you to download select "OK."

Do you have any troubles there?

Also, you'll probably need a zipping program or something to use this. Do you have WinRAR or Winzip or something along those lines?

Dude, don't apologize for everything. It's really unneccessary. :P

EDIT: (...Probably not worth the post, but it's one of my biggest pet peeves!! ...I should get better pet peeves.)

Also, they aren't really demos... Ping', with his horrible understanding of the English language and extremely limited vocabluary*, just called it that. (I mean, he's French! D: oh noez!) I suppose it is a demo in a sense that it's a portion of the entire game, but it's the entirety of all the parts we have done, so it's kind of misleading... (It's not like it's a separate thing that we just did to get ppl psyched for TS...)

Well, I'm happy I got more substance into this post :3

(And I know you're there, Frenchy.)

EDIT2: *lolirony

...you thought it was something bad, didn't you?

Well, well, SuperBad, calling people names once again, I see...

Oh, and if you're talking to me... t's just that I'm usually not happy with what I do, compared to what I could have done.

Also, I did think of calling this "part 2" instead of "demo 2.0", but when you think about it, it's actually a demo in the sense that I'm still planning to make an improved version of the first day for the final release.

Edit: Btw, Femme Fatale, thanks for helping R.M. out. I certainly wouldn't want him not to be able to play the demo because of small technical issues :)

hmmm, I see, so this might be the problem, i've gotten past the part to selecting "regular download" and selecting"ok". That's fine. I just seem to be able to open the file I downloaded.

I don't think I have WinRAR or Winzip. Can I download either for free?

oh and Bad Player, I'm sorry.. It's understandable. wierd habit I have, when being new to things I don't have an understanding of.

If you're experiencing the problem I think you are, you don't need any special programs (although they are faster than the windows default). I think the problem you're having is that you haven't extracted the files. I think you have to right click the folder, select "extract to..." then extract it to program files. The version in the extracted folder should be fully usable.

well after I download, I can't see to open the file because it pops up to internet explorer, but then exits out and ask if I want to open again, and it's like a cycle.

am I suppose to save it into a new folder or am I suppose to not use internet explorer as my default?

Does IE pop up before you open any files, or when you try to open up a file? If the latter, which file are you trying to open? (Because you don't need to open IE to play this...)

well when I try open up my folder, it opens up to IE, but then exits out and asks me if I want to open or save again. when it tells me to download, it asks to I want to open or save my file, and if I choose open, it has Internet explorer as my default. Do I need to save it? Because if I do save it, and try to click it when it's done downloading, it just pops to IE and ask me again if I want to open or save.

Wait, is this the .rar file? You need to download winzip or 7zip, and right click>open with that. Extract it to your documents, and there we go.

Or winrar...

But yeah, that should do it. Sounds like your comp is trying to open up the file with IE.

While WinRAR will ask you to buy it after 30 days (or whatever), you can continue using the evaluation version indefinitely. I believe that is the direct answer to your question.

And send it to YggdrasilsSword. Actually, perhaps we could work out a contract of sorts, just so it's official and there can be very fine print that you fail to read because it's ridiculously fine. Your people can meet with my people. My lawyer work it out the details. Just watch out for his wings and horns and claws; did I mention that my lawyer is a devil? But then again, he wouldn't be much of a lawyer if he wasn't, now would he?

But first, make sure you play your now functional demo of Apollo Justice Case 5: Turnabout Substitution.

Well, I've downloaded the new version before, I think. It's something like 10.2, right? I'm not exactly sure right now, but I could check later. Um, but the game's pretty much fine, it's just the saving thing. For example, after closing the game after using both F5 and the save button multiple times, the "Resume Game" button on the title screen doesn't do anything, but the "New Game" button works fine. So, I'm not really sure what the problem is either? Sorry if this doesn't help very much. :sadshoe:

This sounds like a fairly exceptional case. Can you email/pm me your save file? It can be found at games/ts_demo/Turnabout/Substitution/save and save_tmp.
