News:
- (PWLib - Mikumo Extension) Movement TouchPad updated, now movement is easier. Also added the speed differences for walking and running.

----------------------------
I might put the GK Demo Court Record button on 1.2's release. DeMatador did the other buttons, so he might do the CR as well.

The meaning of the pics was to demonstrate the functionality. Some GFX might change, but mostly the system by itself works.

----------------------------

I don't actually see people using the walking until GK gets released and we have lots of char sets to play with, but the thing is there already.

Some people might not even care about GK at all, but Mikumo is merely an additional feature for those who might want it.

Oh, ho! I care. After all, Edgy is kind of like a son to me.

Based on my prior knowledge, I would think that the GK features where fairly similar to some of the features already in PWLib, such as Logic is similar to presenting/court record, Talk is self explainatory and could easily be set to your partner with the present dialog routines. That being said, where the GK features based on some already in PWLib, KSA?

On a side note, I'm a little over halfway with Franziska. I might finish her by the end of the week.

As I said, I made the GK feature set for those who are interested in using it, like you Lt. Morke.

I took a different approach over GK features. Logic is independent to any PWLib core features (and even independent to the CR data).

Talk is pretty much PW's classic model. What changes is the screen (basically a Talk Screen with a Present button).

I'm looking on what to do to make Mikumo really an extension instead of grabbing PWLib's code and mod to support GK features.

------------------
Nice about Franziska. And noting that we will have Franziska 2: The Return of the Whip when GK gets released. Another Fran set (of char poses).

Notes about Unicode Support over AIGE 0.9.800a (and PWLib 1.2)

Here are some languages supported by the system:

Russian (uses Cyrillic Set)
Portuguese (uses BasicLatin and Latin1Supplement Sets)
Hiragana (uses Hiragana Sets)
Katakana (uses Katakana Sets)
Korean [one mode] (uses HangulCompatibilityJamo, HangulJamo and HangulSyllables Sets) << Someone wanted this.
German (uses BasicLatin and Latin1Supplement Sets)
Arabic (uses Arabic Set)
Kannada (uses Kannada Set)

The are more, of course. I'll try to make a list of unicode sets available.

Finally, I have no homework today, so I can enter the forumz.

So, yes, I forgot the CR button. I'll make it now, but not as "Court Record". Please recall that, according to Croik/JapaneseGIRL's translation, it's now "Investigation Log". So, I'll make that one.

Let's stick closer as possible to the original, so Investigation Log sounds the best choice. But I see it will be a bit hard to fit "Investigation Log" on the small button.

But in any case, having a Court Record button will be nice as well if someone wants to have a Gyakuten Kenji GFX Set for the interface.

That is why I was thinking about making all the "Add", "Investigation Log" and "Logic" buttons AA1-4 style, you know, brown and triangle-y.

That would be perfect if someone wants Kenji a la PW.

We would need all the PW ones in Kenji Style too for a complete GFX Switching.

OK, once I get into (lol) my PC I´ll do them, I´m writing this from my Wii since everybody is sleeping (it´s midnight here), and my liiitle, 1-year old brother sleeps next to where the PC is.

EDIT: Oh, BTW, what I wanted to say is that doing Kenji buttons in Saiban format would also give users a higher range of bases in case they would want to create their own UI. I dunno, after the Kenji demo custom UIs feel like a need...

((Sorry for double post))

Update on GFX making:

The "Investigation Log" button is too big. There's no way to fit it into the tab.
I suggest we abbreviate it, as in "Inv. Log". It's not too bad, after all, in the spanish version of the games (the only ones I played aside from the US ones), "Court Record", which would be "Acta del Juicio" (Acta=Record; del= of the; Juicio=Trial), is changed to "Acta Juicio" (Just "Trial Record"), so I see no reason why not to abbreviate.
After all, it's that or nothing, I guess :\

Try this:

Leave the startup file as it was originally and place the script file you scripted according to the tutorial on the auto folder. This should fix your problem.

-------------------------------------
News:

Partial Log System Revamp completed. The results of this:

- AHLSL Execution is now around 2 times faster then earlier in the "minimal log mode". Minimal Log stands by the "debug=off" and the new "fulllog=false". Full Log is what AIGE does currently, logging all commands as they execute. Full Log is meant for extended debugging purposes. But errors will be logged normally.

How it will affect players and developers: faster loading times, less CPU usage on heavy areas such as Mikumo's Walking.

You know, I was just curious, does PWLib Support music (like BG music)?

If So...

* Does it allow looping of music, so to repeat like it does in the game.
* Does it allow into themes (like Edgeworth/Franzy 2-4)

1. Yes
2. Yes, if you split up the intro and looping part
3. Don't know what you meant but the answer is probably yes anyway

Intro themes? Yes, again, if you split the intro and loop. Doesn't really have "playlist" functionality, though, which would make integrating the intro/loop thing easier.

As others have said.
1 - Yes
2 - Yes but you need to split it
3 - ^

when PWLib 1.2 comes out, It will have playlsit functionality, you will need to still use the split audio files, but you can play the intro then the loop.

Case 1-1 for demonstration.

Someone released some packs of music already split into intro and loop parts, if I recall well.

In AIGE:
BGM: repeats forever.
AMB: repeats forever.
SFX: play once.

With playlists, you can have n songs playing once, then a final one that loops forever (if not, the playlist will loop to the first song, and play the songs in its list again, and so on).

Also the playlists are independent from the BG, AMB and SFX systems, so you can play a BGM and a Playlist at the same time.

Edit:
Also, the playlsit follows the Unified AIGE Sound System, that means you can put mp3, ogg, etc to play.

Hey, I downloaded the core, the graphics, everything, but I still can't get this to work. Not even the book tells me how to get it started. I downloaded that distributor program and I think I got a well-updated DirectX and video card. This is what it says when I click AIGE:

<Scipt> Warning! Couldn't jump to script "game" because it couldn't be found!
scripts/startup.aigehls:25
when running in primary mode
main:jump to script("game");

Someone please help?

It's working fine. You just haven't made a game yet. When you do, place the file in the auto folder, and it will start from the script "game" in the file.

you can type it with a normal text editor (notepad / etc) but you have to make sure you know the files name extention, make sure you can see file name extensions.
Go to any folder you want then click Tools, Folder Options, Then in the window that spawns click "View", then in the list you see you should see as the bottom options (BEFORE you scroll down) "Hide extensions for known file types" . If you untick that then click APPLY. You can make sure you named it tutodemo.hlsl and it didn't end up as tutodemo.hlsl.txt
You also need to make sure AIGE looks to your script, you can do this one of two ways, both of which are explained here :)

As for the music, I have 2 packs done (intros and loops split), they're located here;

Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright - Justice For All

On a side note, me and KSA are looking for artists and spriters. KSA is looking for help drawing and spriting the Mio character for the PWLib 1.2 test case and i'm looking for artists mainly, anyone interested in helping me draw the main characters for my game. Please get in touch with either of us about this! Any help is greatly appriciated.

The packs contain music in .ogg format, btw. Good timming that Maelstorm returned.

Just some noted about the "Mio Demonstration Game" that I'll work on for PWLib 1.2: it will be the ground for me to write the PWLib Unleashed book, so earlier it gets done, with Mio, the earlier PWLib 1.2 will be released once the Shinku Language gets finished.

DDRKhat's sister was going to do Mio, but I haven't heard any news about it.

The poses I need are few, so it won't be lengthy character.
