- (AIGE) Implemented Inclusion Paths.
- (AIGE) Implemented Texture Paths.

Both allows defining folders for AIGE to look for script files (inclusion) and texture files (texture).

By default, AIGE seeks from its "local" (like AIGE 700a and earlier did), then if not found, it looks on the folders defined on the inclusion paths until the file is found or all paths are used. Same valid for textures.

This allows, for example: script and texture repositories over a single location (like some asked here for).

For now, the court only works with the "pw_char" character (the only one declared on PWLib 1.1 and earlier versions). The character is shared on Attorney, Witness and Prosecutor even on sliding.

So on 1.2, unless i work on a change until release, will require that the active char is reset to pw_char when going to court if the developer use multi-chars on investigation.

I'll finish the log revamp, then i'll revise most of pwlib (specially related to multi-char, for Mikumo Extension).

I'll surely add the idea, but for now I have to finish the log revamp (to keep AIGE 800a release-able).

The court sliding is one of the only parts of AIGE that keeps a very old code (the slide is 100% coded in AHLSL, not even using the move towards effect commands), and reworking it will take time.

Just so you know (or maybe you already did), in the real games all shapes are outlined automatically to prevent things like in the 2nd screenshot.

Does AIGE allow the player to continue through lines of text by hitting ENTER (or the like) on the keyboard, instead of clicking the advance button?

Gyakuten Kenji released, finally.

I'm playing it already, and with it revising some of the already implemented features (Logic mostly) on Mikumo Extension.

Also I'll start to implement the "Examine with Presenting" that was present on the flash demo (now final version on the game).

Currently working on: GK's Examine with Present, press "A" to advance on the "Advance" Screen.

Examine with present, to avoid confusion and misreading:

You're examining something (say in GK examining the victim's body), and you can present an evidence against where the examine cursor is (thus it can lead to some conclusion or new evidence).

Kinda like in 1-4, you have to show that the murderer is holding the gun with his left hand, and then you present contradicting proof?

So with Examine with Present, you'd pretty much drag the cursor to the left hand and present the gun?

Exactly like Gyakuten Kenji as well, when on 1-1 you need to present something on the crime scene to show a contradiction.

Hello! I'm new on this forums. Please excuse my poor english (I'm from Spain). I think PWLib is awesome, but I have a weird problem with move options. This is the code:

As yo can see, I want to move to three differente locations: room, hamstead and police. But when I run the game, I can only click on the third button, and the game moves to "room" instead of "police". I have three different functions for each location, with different backgrounds, so it's not a confusion. I tried to switch locations. For example:

And the result is that I can only click on the third button, and the game moves to "hamstead" instead of "room".

It is a bug on PWLib 1.1 code itself. When I was revising the button placement on move for PWLib 1.2, I recall fixing it, but for some reason I forgot to post a fix here.

In the function pw_showinvestigmove the areas are wrongly placed (the click areas for the buttons are wrong).

Change the function pw_showinvestigmove on the pw_investigation.hlsl to this:

On 1.2 the alignment of the button is centered (so that's why I revised the code).

The Extended Examination from GK is 90% done. Logic was properly integrated, and the marked spot works exactly like on the game. Mostly minor GFX/SFX and one issue with the initial examin spot are missing.

Also I was giving GK some more playtime and I found out some new stuff that I'll implement:

- Up/Down Dual Examine: good example is the right door on the corridor on case 1
- GK Talk Screen: used by the partner screen, and when talking so some characters.
- Analyze: shows on case 2. It's same as an examine, but you only are given a button to look at a spot. No examine button popping in.

Heya.

I've downloaded the program, set it up, got the graphics put together in the program, etc. And I am still having problems with getting the game to show up. When I launch AIGE it still only comes up with a black screen. There are no error messages. Just a black screen. I programed the tutorial game word for word.

That is the tutorial game's entire file, right there.

Is there something I need to re-install or redo? And also, for the tutorial script, do I need to use a .txt file? In the tutorial it says "tutogame.hlsl" does this mean that the file type itself needs to be .hlsl? or do you just name it that?

Anyway, If there is any reason you can think to why my AIGE box is black, please tell me. I'm trying to develop a fangame in it! :larry: PLLLEEEASE!?

You need to stick it in the auto folder for some reason.

If no errors appear, the game function was found (thus the script file is property included or is on the auto folder.

Does an error appear when you run aige without the script file as well? (an the FPS shows on screen)

I'll try to elaborate a small AIGE 700a quick render test soon (while I work on PWLib 1.2).

Thanks for the imput you guys. :phoenix: However, after some tinkering this morning I figured it out all by meself. All I did was download the "Trials of Life" demo from the gyakutenwiki and look through it's files and folders to see how it was set up. It's up and running. Thanks again!
