Yes, all character from GS 1-4 have been completed.

But it seems some people aren't appreciating the character completion and actually using PWLib...

We have the GK characters, but as mentioned earlier, spoiler problems.

Soon we will have to deal with the minis for Mikumo Extension.

It´s good to see again old people who helps Pwlib. That Edgeworth you made is very good, Lt. Morke.

Now all the chars are complete.

That´s because they are waiting the 1.2 release.

The funny part is that someone commented "where did morke go" just some few hours before Morke showed up.

It is good to see Lt. Morke back.

I'm not saying about those who are waiting for 1.2, but about those who simply don't use it (not caring about quality too).

Edgeworth has already been released by Lt. Morke. Look back a few pages. Or well, a lot of pages...

See, you were in my thoughts, Lt. Morke! It is almost as if you manipulated all of the events for your magical reappearance. Sneaky. Plus whatever KSA was talking about, so it can't be a coincidence.

PWLib 1.2 is worth the wait.

The talk about Morke was on MSN. I think it was Comaster who mentioned him.

It seems as 1.2 grows closer, some people start to return.

I should have made 1.1a, b, etc and so on along the way. But with the PWLib Auto-Updater, it will be easy to issue fixes quickly (for both AIGE and PWLib).

I hope 1.2's quality make some people have sense and start caring that making their games isn't only about easiness, but that quality do pay off on a good project to make it stand out in the crowd (not been just one more game with missing crucial gfx).

Like I said, Morke has been manipulating our minds in preparation for his return, so that he would appear when we least suspected.

KSA_Tech wrote:

Agreed. For quite I while, there has been the following pattern with incoming newbs:

nooneofconsequence: hey how do i use editor
KSA_Tech: There is no editor for PWLib. PWLib prides quality over quantity.
nooneofconsequence: how i make dog
KSA_Tech: That feature will be available when PWLib 1.2 is released.
nooneofconsequence: ok then how i make cat
KSA_Tech: That feature will also be available on PWLib 1.2.

Thus causing some difficulties. Intermediate releases might have been a good move to solve the problem. Teachable moment.

Yes, i asked for Lt. Morke.

I know he made Edgeworth, and April too? A remake in Phoenix? Well, he made important works.

And yes, it´s funny, because i asked you for him yesterday Ksa, and today he appeared.

Do I read the future? :P

Maybe that people have problems with the start in Pwlib, and they're hoping that the start in 1.2 should be easier.

BTW, 1.2 have all the cast and a lot of new features. It´s very probably that they are waiting that version to create a new full game, that´s my case for example.

May I interpret that as a hint that you plan to release some manner of awesome PWLib game upon the release of 1.2? Don't try to convince me otherwise, I am now strongly suspicious that this is your secret plan.

The Auto Updater was made to avoid sparse updates. So I can even fix an issue on the moment and put it online for updating.

------------------------------------------
We need the Japanese (and any other languages too) nameboxes. PWLib only ships with the English ones. This'll greatly help localization of games.

Also, for GK, we need the nameboxes.

PS: We have Lt. Morke back. It would be interesting if Serio returned too (he made Franziska).

How´s your Damion´s project? Are you working in the second case? I played the first and is very good. Congrats.

...Okay I am SO confused. I have no idea how to work this thing.

I installed PWLib onto my computer with a desktop shortcut. But when I tried to open it, it said that I couldn't open it because it contained RAR files and I didn't have a program compatable with those. So I downloaded a program called winRAR. I don't know. Should I have done that? Because when I open the PWLib shortcut on my desktop... I don't know, I just don't get it. I have no idea how to work it and I'm just very confused... I'm really dumb with computers.

A little help, please? :edgy:

PWLib comes into 2 parts compressed with WinRAR (you need to download that program to be able to decompress the contents of the .rar files).

Once you get the Core 1.1 and GFX 2.0 packages, you must decompress both on a folder. That'll get you a clean PWLib 1.1 install.

The next step is to read the PWLib In A Nutshell pdf to learn for to make games on PWLib.

PWLib In A Nutshell is available on this page: http://www.ksatechnologyhq.com:1357/mainsite/pwlib under Books About PWLib.

New folder. You have two files. Right clic, "Extract Here". The same with the other. Now you can start with the book and Aige.

No need to stop. All PWLib 1.1 code runs on 1.2 without any problems.

I try to make backwards compatibility on all new versions as a sign of quality (so old games can benefit from new versions without having to be reworked).

The only case that some recoding is needed is when a wrong assuption is fixed (like it was on 1.0x to 1.1, but it was minimal).

It seems you'll have no work until i send you the fixed sheets. We see that some people are not caring about quality at all, as they are not using pwlib...

You mean the court room overview or setting a character's pose (Phoenix in this case)?

All characters poses are set by calling their pose functions (pw_enable<char><pose). Looking at their files on the data folder will let you know their poses.

Soon we'll have a small handbook with the poses referenced, so it'll be easy to find the pose you want for a character.

Awww, so you guys really did miss me! :edgy: It's good to see (or hear) that all of the characters are done. I think I only reworked Bellboy, Desire, Phoenix, and Franziska. Then I changed gears and double teamed creating Apollo and Klavier and kind of had a run in with Atlantica Online. Basically, I wanted to rework what we already had established, rather then work on what was missing. So who took up the reworks for me?

And yes, I've been dabbling in the dark arts of mind control. :karma:

:bellboy: I haven't been talked about this much since I was almost made a sex slave on prom night with "the Libby".

Honestly, KSATech, tons of people just (and i'm putting it frank) can't be assed with the whole thing being hard.

I've always said, if something's just as good and easier, why not switch to that? Thankfully, nothing is as good as PWLib.

I was starting to think on something: if PWLib is better (or nothing is as good as it is as you said), then WHY we just saw tons of new games not on it? It's something to ponder about.

I get the feeling that one of those things are true:
- Or PWLib users are almost all lurkers (who don't ask because they're shy or something else)
- Or Quality means nothing after all to most people (and they give a damn if it's good, all they need is that it's easy, no matter if their option is crappy or limited).

I'll have to admit, using PyWright and AAO, the two most common Casemakers at this point in time, it's easier, and you get your point across. However, PWLib is the only way you're going to be able to make DS Quality games.

In fact, I'd compare PyWright/AAO to DVDs, and PWLib to Blu-Ray. More people use DVDs, BUT the people who buy Blu-Ray discs always get a better experience, and the people who watch a Blu-Ray disc for the first time (i.e play a PWLib made case for the first time) are hooked on it.
