I meant have you still got the original recording? Just the objection, without the background sound? Or did you record it in Audacity?
If not, no worries. The background sound effect sounds pretty passible anyway.

I modified the actual voices of Luis Hawk, Apollo and Edgey with Audacity. It's easy to find them.

Wait... you modified someone else's voice clip? I knew the other two were Apollo and Edgeworth with a lower pitch... but the one I liked, I thought you recorded that yourself, that it was your voice. Luis Hawk is a character from SilentBobX's fangame, isn't he?
Sorry then, I don't want to use a voice clip for someone else's original character.

Wait, what!? Joker, I know you're trying to help Cardi, but don't take original content from mine or any other fan-game without the consent of the author. I know you're trying to help, but using others work isn't the right way to do it.

Sorry SilentBobX, I forgot to ask you. I just took some voices and try to modify them. Didn't want to offend anyone.

No, no. I'm not offended. Just, in the future, you need to ask permission to use original content from the creator that all. But, even then, I'd still have to say no, because I want the voice to be just for my character. But don't worry about it, there's no harm done.

SilentBob - I understand, but as I said I thought it was an original recording until the name Luis Hawk cropped up, and as such I didn't want to use it as understandably you'd want it to be unique for your character.

Joeker - Thanks for trying to help, but yeah I prefer unique original recordings as opposed to altering current ones, be they official or fan-made.

Er, that's a new one. xD
Nah the name isn't a pun at all. Greisen (which I pronounce gray-son) is a type of granite, referring to his "hardened detective" persona. And I can just imagine a detective named Terry for some reason. xD

For Case 3? No, there's no set-in-stone release date. There are two main reasons why I don't set release dates for my game:
1) I don't like feeling pressured into meeting a deadline for it, as this fangame has become more and more like just a side-project for me.
2) It's hard to predict when it will be ready due to the scripting process. I'm releasing Case 3 in two parts and even part one won't be ready for a good while yet.

It was a reference to the Barrow Downs, a ghost town in the game Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor.

Hi everyone, progress has been slow as of late (as I said in a previous post, this game has become more like just a spare-time side-project these days) but I'm still plodding on through it. Anyway, I'm looking for a voice actor to make an Objection! for my main antagonist. It's not really needed yet, but if anyone's interested it would be greatly appreciated! :)

But beware: You will most likely be spoiled.

Speaking of which, I also realised that Vincenzo from Scapegoat doesn't have his own Objection!, Hold It! and Take That! yet. If anyone also wants to help with doing those, it would be a nice bonus! :)

Hey, thanks for such a quick response.
Hmm a few are on the right track of what I'm looking for, but I'm afraid they don't sound forceful enough, they sound a bit soft.

Quick update:
Vinnie will no longer share Edgeworth's voice, he now has his own! (Many thanks to Ropfa.)
As I'm going back and tweaking some stuff in the previous cases, which will come altogether with part 1 of Case 3 when I release it, Vinnie's new 'Objection', 'Hold It' and 'Take That' will also be updated.

So, I have finished both cases and must admit, these are awesome. The second one was even better then the first one and I would say they even could be from one of the original games. Im am eagerly awaiting the third and final (it's the final one, eh?) case.

The only bug I have found is Detective Snow's Sprite, he seems to use and old one if he appears at a location and you can talk to him. But he uses this screen only when nothing else (evidence/profile window, talk options, etc) is open.

One question, you talked about an art pack from Tap in the credits. Could you tell me where to find it, please? =O

Thanks! I'm surprised at how there are still so many new people coming across the game :) And yeah, Turnabout of the Snow will be the last case.

Yeah, that was because I updated the quality of Snow's sprites since Case 1. And while he looks fine in Case 2, I forgot to update the background files with Snow in them from Case 1, as they still have the old sprites. I'll fix these when I release part 1 of Case 3.

I've no idea, Tap sent me the zip in a PM. I could upload it for you if you want?

There's actually three, but one of them has been out of the loop for a while... I posted the links for all of them in the 'Your Art' forum on Ace Attorney Online, but here is a quote of that post for anyone who needs it! Thanks for the justification for this post, Cardy! :sahwit:

Quote:
Locations

A massive thanks to Mr. Incognito, also known as Ceres, who spent hours combing through Japanese visual novel databases in order to compile two incredibly large background packages. An additional package, which is slightly smaller than the largest package, was linked from Court Records a number of years ago, although said link is now dead and lost...

Three background packages are available. All of them feature different backgrounds from one another. Please post in this thread if the links are dead!

Ceres/Mr. Incognito's Packages

300+ Backgrounds (Folder titled '2011')
1300+ Backgrounds

Oh my god, Tap, I love you right now. <3

@Cardiovore:
If I am not mistaken, Snow has the same graphic error in case 2 some times. But I am not 100% sure about this one.

I actually knew from this game from a few years ago, but I just recently downloaded the casemaker and the game. Those games are also a great source of inspiration and motivation if you are working (or continueing to work *ahem*) on your own fan game. And I am getting jealous of all those character sprites, as no one on our team can sprite that well (at least no PW chararcters from scratch). Nevertheless, I hope you finish this and we will see a beta soon. =O

Me too, Tap! :D

So many people have said that my game and Ping's Turnabout Substitution have inspired them to make their own fangames, and I have to say I never thought it would have this sort of effect on the community! I didn't even intend for it to stand out in any way, so whatever I've been doing it must be good! Thanks, I'm glad you find it inspiring! :garyuu:

Can't say for sure when the first part will be released as it's such a confusing narrative to weave into a solid structure (I'm speaking about the whole case in general, not just part 1). I'm aiming for before Christmas at some point, but I'm really not promising anything. :sawit:

Something I forgot to say,

Spoiler: Case 2 Spoiler
In the picture where Maris has the gun in her hand she is missing the gloves.

And something completely different. As basically all names in the Ace Attorney series are either a pun or a reference to something else, I wanted to ask, if your character's also share this, uhm, "trait". And if so, what are those? xD
If you also do this, they are at least not as obvious, imo. Or I am just stupid. *ahem*

Joeker - No, I wouldn't say permission is required.

Marston - Only three of my characters have pun names so far. The others are either names I just liked, heard somewhere, are a reference to something, or have a meaning. Some references are really obscure, or at least I think they are.
Stan Nyph, the victim from Case 2, is a play on 'stanley knife'. The other two pun characters appear in Case 3.
