Well, I wasn't supposed to reply to this, but seeing B12core bending the truth falsely in his favor is something I cannot let go.

-Recently, I said a couple of times that the game should have the 2 versions. I may have tried in the past to make this game only PWLib, but now, I support both ideas. so this quote:
Quote:
1. Excluding AADS from this project

is false.

-Also recently I recall posting this:
Quote:
The BEST scenario would be a simultaneous release of both versions, so it would stop any problems. So B12core wouldn't feel "pushed aside" by having his version released later.

So this quote:
Quote:
2. Releasing the port at a later date than PWLib

turns also very false.

So, I guess B12Core is trying to pass a lie as the truth. It isn't nice.

He is the guy that uses the thing you said 200 posts ago as what you think right now. It isn't a good practice, as people do CHANGE over time.
So please, if it is for us to post things, let's not lie in them.
Also I'm pretty sure people expected me to post more lines, but I decided to keep many things to myself to not fill papermario's topic with stuff that will only bring another discussion.

By all means, sorry papermario for posting this, but I had to.

Good luck over the demo, we are anxious to see it! :minuki:

Regarding your comment, KSA_Tech; and I hope you don't take any offense from this, but are you really wanting me to take out the possibility of a ported version, just to have a few new features?

If enough people want the ported version, I'd be willing to make a simple version of the game to serve as the port. But I really don't know if I can go outside the boundaries anyways; what crazy new features does PWLib have that isn't in PW? I would like to know, since I have no idea at this point.

There's no reason to begin with the DS port, because it is... a port.

And only release the DS port once the game is on the wild for a while for users to get typos and bugs (could take a week). This would make the DS version be an one shot (not having users to update the case files and possibly messing with save files).

No. I do not feel that you are trying to insult or bring down PWLib. I feel that you are trying to ruin the Original Posters original plans to release this for PWLib. papermario has already decided he will be releasing on PWLib and asking him to revoke all the work he has already done would be entirely *profanity* stupid because he would basically end up at square 1 except with the graphics he requires prepared in a fashion suitable for PWLib.

So I stand by my original statement.

Bughh....

More dramarama.

KSA: I know you feel personally aggrieved about the fact that the rules didn't seem balanced back then, but it's been sorted now. (By outlawing casemaker arguments altogether) The past is the past, a foreign country. I have faith in Ceres that he can now step back and be impartial. :) All I'm asking is that you can give him a chance too.

B12: Sometimes you really really REALLY seem to be arguing for arguings sake. To say that you had absolutely no part in the escalation/arguments, and then go on to point the finger at the oppostion is pretty hypocritical. You're not some kind of paragon of virtue over this matter, especially since the whole 'Porting' argument seems to be a big misunderstanding of what KSA actually said. Please don't do that.

And yes, this topic is going off topic. This is papermario's show, not the battle of Remnant Ridge.

Really. Stop lying. You are using something I said in the past, but correct recently. Again.

When I mentioned about it to papermario, he indeed said that. Then I explained to him and I said with all letters: "the thing is not to prevent porting". And he agreed.

Also I wouldn't post that line about the simultaneous releases if I was trying now to prevent AADS's version of the game. I guess it proves all your lies now. I wouldn't SUPPORT and TRY TO KILL at the same time. It would be stupid (and crazy). I first said about the later release, but I gave some thought about it and said "it is the best for both to get the same release time. No issues to cry about".

B12Core, I wouldn't really go lying like that in order to get my point across. I did say many things in the past, but are they NOW what I think?
I guess you must read recent posts and see that I changed.

That is all I have to say.

I don't want to argue, but I can't let someone go lying towards me like that. It is something I cannot accept.

And to Gerkuman: I really did some thinking and decided to make the past the past and start a new page over CR. I initially didn't like Ceres to be a mod (due to how he always seemed against me on other topics) but now I think he will do the job put to him the best way possible.

After Gerkuman's post, we could've easily just finished this dispute. Read what I wrote as I said "has", meaning in the past. I used points you have done, in the past. I realize what you have said recently and I accept these as what you feel now. I'd just like to end this meaningless dispute and return to the subject (this topic's original subject) at hand.

B12Core, please. You wouldn't bring that without a reason in mind.

This is my reply to him, and I don't want to keep any kind of discussion about this. I HAVE the right to defend my image when someone talks wrong about it.

All you said was in my past, but you said like it is now, and that is trying to put me as I was in the past. So you're indirectly lying about me. Don't try to cover your mistakes, while trying to make me look bad. If I just go silent, it is like I'm accepting your lies as the truth for my person today.

As Gerkuman said, don't act like an innocent victim now. This time I was wise to fix my mistakes, and actually rethink what I said earlier and putting it in a correct perspective.

I have mostly 2 kinds of people that I strongly dislike: traitors and liars. And those who aren't man enough to yell and then take word for what they said.

So, leave this topic alone if you're trying to lie. If it is for us to argue about something possibly, at least let's do it using the TRUTH, and be honest about what we may come up to say.
I said many times that most of my words in certain occasions were wrong. I don't deny what I said, never. I just don't feel good seeing people badly using what I said in the past.

So, leave papermario's topic free of your words. We are supposed to encourage him, not start dramas and posting lies all over the place.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
And back to topic:

High expectations for your demo, papermario. I might add the CR real pw fonts to PWLib 1.2 as you did to the 1.1 core you have, so I need to get the sizes you used.

Next to beta-testing, I would love to help in any other way possible. I am not a very good artist or composer, so I think that's out of the picture. But I am very willing to learn how to program in PWlib, if you need any help with that.
I don't mean to be very cocky or anything, but I just looked through the "PWlib in a Nutshell" and nothing seemed very confusing to me. Or rather, I understood pretty much everything. (There might be a few things I overlooked). I also have a bit of experience in programming. It's nothing really fancy, it's on the calculator. But I did amaze a lot of people with it.
Oh God, this really sounded like I am very cocky. :payne:

This is an offer you can refuse if you want to. I completely understand if you'd like to do the programming alone. So don't hesitate to turn it down if you are unsure about it.

I saw you needed help at this in the first post so I thought to offer a hand.

Man, this is the third time something like this has happened on CR. I really really don't hope it happens again. :( I mean, B12 was pretty much provoking KSA on purpose. Now he's probably not going to come back. *sigh*

Anyways, nothing to see here now peoples. Lets now focus on the case itself, and all the hard work PM's put into it. It looks great. ^_^

I thank you, everyone who fought for this thread and its purpose. This argument has really set me back in the demo, and I apologize for it being constantly prolonged, longer and longer. These posts may be downers for both the game and the programs those two ran, and I feel very bad about both.

Perhaps 3 days of peace is just what I need; maybe some progress can finally start up. Of course, I'm now piled up with Law and English homework:S

Thanks again!

Just an opinion, please, don't take this as a reason to further prolong this discussion. If you feel I should take this to PM, please do tell me:

I think, Ceres, you should have respected your warning. You might have provoked the closing of AADS and PWLib with the disrespection of your warning. Why? Maybe impatience, maybe not. The point is KSA posted after your last warning, and, I think, you can't just ban AFTER your warning (when, BTW, KSA just closed the thing up) them for what they did BEFORE your warning. It feels like "I'll do it because I can". Don't mean to offend you, but... that shouldn't be the attitude of a mod.
A mod shouldn't use his "powers" just because he's got them. Sorry, Papermario, for posting it here, I just want to know if people agree with me, just one last public thing.

No problem, DeMatador.
I can take criticism. :P

However, Let me bring up a few points.

You may question the reason behind it, but merely browse through the game section as of late and then give me your honest opinion of the point of those discussions lately. They have done more harm then good, as such the rules were adjusted to reflect this. As such, multiple remarks have been made on their behavior.

Don't get me wrong, I' don't think I have to justify my actions here, but I'll gladly do so.

Everything that has been done was thoroughly thought out and discussed beforehand, and the decision was only made in the best interest of papermario and fellow thread owners.

In a way, I understand how you may feel that my reaction was too "fast".

But let's face it, these discussions have been going on for quite some time, Myself and plenty of others are growing tired of these endless squabbles and thread cluttering.
So yes, Those prior events were taken in as well as reason.

If you have further remarks/complaints, feel free to Pm me.

Well, the bickering is over for the moment, papermario13689. If your work was being thusly inhibited, then you'll now have an opportunity to work on this project. Seeing how you seemed to be behind in the production department, I'd be more than happy to try lending a hand with the PWLib programming part of the production, should you need such assistance. (Though it seems Nurio has already offered, as well.)

I really appreciate the offer, but the assistance of the coding causes a few problems:

- I would not know what part to start scripting, and how far to go. I'd also lose track.
- Whoever helps would see the entire game before its release.
- Explaining exactly what I want would take forever.

Really, thanks for the offer. I appreciate it. However, scripting is my burden to bear. I'm sure I'll get some good work done in the 3 days I have.

All right, then, your choice to make, and you've clearly outlined the reasoning behind it, so I guess I'll just work on my own stuff, and wait. Good luck with the project. :edgy:

If you've already registered before, you are welcome to come back and beta-test.

Thanks for letting me know!

So I've been avoiding this forum due to having massive amounts of work to do. In fact, I probably shouldn't be here now. Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for remembering me, and offer a suggestion: it might be a good idea to split the beta testers into small groups and have each group work on one case. I see 25 beta testers, so that would be 5 per case.

And it seems she didn't even try to get it to work yet, so dishing it out in favor of other solution is not the question yet.

We will see about PWLib issues when 1.2 gets released. I hope that 1.1 works on her pc.

And in case it doesn't work, I would like to know the PC configurations.

Sometimes PWLib not working is because the vcard is old (thus the PC), so not even the DS emulator might work...

Heh, no, I still haven't actually downloaded PWLib or anything. This is the only fangame I'm following, so I have no reason to until the demo comes out.
And no$gba runs just fine on my comp, but I've not tried playing a AA game on it. We'll see.

Delays, delays!!

Writing again from my iPod touch; my laptop developed an odd virus from Youtube, apparently. Anyways, it's being serviced again. *sigh*

I made sure my files would be saved in the servicing, and I took extra precaution by saving them to an SD card. Once my laptop returns, I'll start AGAIN.

Sorry for the constant trouble, everyone!

A YouTube virus! What is the world coming to? Curses, another delay.

In other news, I bought The Last Remnant for $15, and I thought they must have stolen the name from papermario13689. Will your game be featuring ancient items capable of doing magical stuff called Remnants, as per said game?

Argh, iPod typing = slow.

I lol'd on "The Last Remnant" reference:D Unfortunately, magic is limited to the Magatama and Bracelet. My next project on the other hand...

I hope the Youtube bug will be fixed soon too. I had OneCare on my Vista laptop, and it failed to catch it. The bug crashed my hard drive, but my files were spared. Lucky!

Sorry again for the delays, project restarts when I get my laptop back.

Sorry for the issue with re-signing up for beta-testing. I'll put your name in once I get the time.

Like Bad Player said; ESPer, someone with ExtraSensory Perception.
