Title: Turnabout Poison
Project Head: Nerdowl
Current Contributers: I am doing this myself. First attempt though so any offers of betaing/feedback would be appreciated. (Also I want to thank Ropfa for their wonderful tutorials. It gave a good starting point rather than just prodding blindly).
Casemaker: PyWright

What I Have: A draft finished version of investigation day one
What I Need: Beta testers for what I have so far. I could do with help understanding how to edit/make sprites. I can colour-palette change stuff already. I had to do it to Edgeworth for reasons.

STATUS
Scripting: 99% Investigation Day One, rest to be written. (Basically reason why this isn't at 100% is I'm considering whether I need another piece or two of evidence)
Spriting: 100% Investigation Day One.
Programming: 100% Investigation Day One, 1% Trial Day One
Editing: According to the PyWright play count I have played this over 100 times, so I have been checking my work persistently. But it's easy to miss mistakes in your own work so I could do with a beta or two. Pretty please. :bellboy: (I can even offer fic or very amateur fanart in return if you want)

CASE SUMMARY
Apollo is awoken by a phone call late at night, only to find someone close to him is dead and another has been arrested for their murder. Can you help him solve this mystery before it is too late?

Please PM me if you wish to beta this and I'll send you the link. I'll be forever grateful.

Note: last time I worked on this was at the beginning of March but I wanted to give this one final run-through and finish editing a certain character's sprites before posting this.

Some hopefully spoiler-free screenshots if you don't mind a couple of character spoilers:-

One thing I would suggest is to get someone to look over your script for punctuation errors, as I've noticed 3 from your screenshots.

Artwork can often be the bane of aspiring casewriters. I can tell you've put effort into this, with you having beta-tested it around 100 times. If you have any specific questions on sprite-making, send me a PM.

Hey Nerdowl, can you give us any more details on this case? I like how you have only promised one case instead of a whole game like most others do, it makes it a far more realistic goal.

How is the process going? Are you still enjoying it or is it getting frustrating yet at how long it takes to do?

Thanks Ropfa! :) I need to create a witness at some point so when I'm at that stage I may have some more specific questions.

Yeah, I didn't want to leap straight in to doing an entire game. If this is well received I may do more cases/a more involved case but for now I just wanted to give this a go.

I'm still enjoying it because I'm trying not to be too overly-ambitious for this one, but it's a case of finding the time to work on it. What I will say is this case has 50+ code files already (and all but one of those are for Investigation Day 1). :lana:

More case details? Well I can try but I'm worried this will be a bit too spoiler-filled...

Spoiler: defendant
Trucy Wright

Spoiler: victim
Phoenix Wright

Characters included/referenced in investigation day 1: Apollo Justice, Phoenix Wright, Trucy Wright, Klavier Gavin, Dick Gumshoe, Miles Edgeworth, Kristoph Gavin

Spoiler: EXTENDED CASE SUMMARY
Apollo is awoken by a phone call late at night, only to find that Phoenix Wright was murdered in the office and Trucy has been arrested for their murder. With the implication that Phoenix was looking into a case that has links to Kristoph Gavin, whose execution is due the following day, can you help Apollo solve this mystery before it is too late?

Well that was one reason I asked for betas, yes, but three from those screenshots? Really? There's a comma missing before Gavin's 'Ja' I think but... I'm not entirely sure where the other issues are. :bellboy:

Edit: Oh... wait... are you on about full stops in the last two screenshots? That was the very last scene I coded and seems I didn't check over it quite so much. ^^;;

Thanks :phoenix:

Quick update on what's going on progress wise: Two lovely people (Fellowzdoomer and Spybreak001) have offered to Beta this. Spybreak001 has sent me some grammar corrections which I am going to implement now, and also a work-around to the issue of sprites not appearing when the menu is open (something which I'd been trying to fix myself for months!)

So work for today will be fixing the issues that Spybreak001 has pointed out, and then if I have time I'll move onto the next part of scripting. :klavier:

Happy to help. Let me know if you need anything, I can certainly use a break from my own.
