Here's the full explanation for the case 4 question posted above - spoilers, but not concerning the people involved:

Spoiler:
In case 4 a murder takes place in the courthouse, and for dramatic effect you get to interrogate your witness from behind the prosecutor bench, but it's not during an actual trial or in front of the gallery.

Anyway, going back, I will definitely like this more than the lawyer games.
Enough said.

I was also a little disappointed at not having a courtroom, but as long as the "Can I prove he's the criminal" tension is there I think it will work.
The demo actually seemed really cool with the new aspects. Just contradicting testimony, and presenting evidence, is actually a relatively bare way to show logic in retrospect. Showing that you can relate two things sounds like a pretty innovative way of taking things.
I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I played the demo too, and the whole time I was thinking something like, "Well, this is okay, but it's not exactly blowing me away."

I thought the same, but I'm not as optimistic about the rest of the game. The writing just wasn't as impressive as I would have expected. Edgeworth's character was kind of boring compared with in other games, and Gumshoe was too much of a caricature straight off the bat (I'm poor, I eat ramen, please don't cut my salary). Even examining objects that were unrelated to the case - i.e., not hampered by tutorial dialogue - didn't get any exchanges that really interested me. I may just be more jaded/have higher expectations than I did in PW games, though.

However, I think the gameplay design is great - they took the one actual gameplay aspect of being in the court, cross-exams, and put it in the field, where it can probably be used more efficiently than in court. I always felt like a lot of time was wasted in court with the lead-ups to cross-examinations, when the whole point is just the cross-exam itself.

I think I will like this game more, yes. But I'm trying to not get too high hopes about it. In case if I get disappointed. So I try not to get too much information about the game. I've played the demo though, and THAT certainly didn't disappoint me!
Too lazy to make an sig or avatar. Deal with it for a while.

This is an interesting question indeed. In the previous games, the court was merely a means by which to create more dramatic situations. Nothing was realistic about it (and if anything was, AA would be the most boring series EVER; thankfully that's not the case). The good parts of the games were uncovering crazy set-up schemes and getting attached to the characters. I'm looking forward to seeing how this game fares without the courtroom phases.

I honestly don't know if I'll prefer this to the courtroom style. I really enjoyed being in court, and kinda dreaded the investigation part of the games, but I'll give this a go anyway, since the format and everything is revamped.

Say, that reminds me of a puzzle! Have you ever heard this one, Luke?

Thirded about JFA. Though, I'd rather play first before I can make any further comment.

I've only played the demo, but I loved it. I'm sure that the whole game will be awesome, but in other AA games, I found that trials were more exciting than investigations. And I also love the judge :udgy: . But AAI has a trump: Miles Edgeworth.
He's undoubtedly the most charismatic character in the whole series. He's also the smartest and the sexiest one. His thoughts and speeches are priceless.
For these reasons, I'll only be sure that AAI formula works if there are other games in the series with main characters like Klavier Gavin, who is cool, but not like Edgey.

I know I will. The investigating was always my favorite gameplay element, and the cross-examing during the investigating will probarly end up being a lot more interesting than using the Magatama. :redd:

Strongly agree. I was never really good at cross-examining in court or presenting evidence. I enjoyed investigating much more.

Strangely enough, I love court sessions. Just love 'em. There's the judge, Edgy/Franny/Godot and Phoenix!!!
But okay, talking to Gumshoe while investigating is also fun :will:
