Than the lawyer games?

I know I will. The investigating was always my favorite gameplay element, and the cross-examing during the investigating will probarly end up being a lot more interesting than using the Magatama. :redd:

I probably will, but only because I was SO obsessed with the other games, I kind of ruined them for myself. -__-; *FAIL*

Yeah, this.
And I just have a feeling that this game is going to be very very good and I'm going to immensely enjoy it. I guess because it's edgeworth, and because I have a feeling the new plots and new characters are not going to disappoint me. I really hope I'm right.

I was a little disappointed, when I first heard that there will be no court in this game, but there are actually a lot of cool features, which totally replaces it. So, I think it's really depends on the storyline for me. I'm sure that I'll like it more than AJ because of my favorite characters there, not so sure about the first 3 GS games, but it's possible. =)

Don't know if I'll like it more than the other games, but there's just something sexy about being inside Edgeworth's pants mind. I will definitely enjoy it.

Yeah, I'm already going to say that I like this game better than the other games. But that's probably just the Edgeworth fangirl in me talking. XD

As the name implies, Ace Attorney Investigations will be more of a detective thing rather than a lawyer thing. IMO, that's what the entire GS series had going for it, really. Taking out the courtroom procedures kinda screws it up for me. D:

I am pretty sure you won't miss the court that much. I guess you like it because of the cross-examinations? In AAI you will have 54 "cross-examinations" (rebuttals) that's the second highest number in the whole series, only PW 3 had more with 55.

My favorite parts of the Ace Attorney games were always story, characters and cross-examinations. What I heard until now AAI will have a good story and I already like most of the characters just by their looks. As I already stated, there will be more than enough cross-examinations. I didn't really liked the investigation parts in the former games, they were interesting because of the story progressions, but I really ran through them just to get to my favorite part. In the AAI demo the investigation phase seems to be much more interesting, because you can see all the other people at the crime scenes and it is more involving.

From what I've seen, with characters, graphics and music summed up, this game is going to be my top Ace Attorney game, above AA3, AA1, AA4 and AA2, in that order. Yeah, I don't like Justice for All that much.

The fangirl in me is squeeing and having nosebleeds at the thought of an entire game as Edgeworth.
The look of the game put me off at first, with the movement of the characters, but I love the demo and I cant wait for Feburary (Its released on my husbands birthday and he has been warned I will be busy all that day with this game).

I think I'll like this one a tad more than the other games, but only because it's hilarious making Edgeworth run around.

This way, it'll probably be more like those conventional murder mystery games, instead of a lawyer sim. There's a reason its a spin-off, not a main game. I always found those conventional murder mysteries a bit boring, but that's probably because the characters aren't very good in the other games. Since the AA series is known for having great characters, I think I'll like AAI just as much as the main series, if not more.

I don't know...seems like it'll be fun, though. I admit I liked court a squee bit better, but it seems like this will have tons of cool new features. Plus, I am SO excited to learn more about edgey and Franziska...not just in a romantic sense either, tho I do ship that pairing. There's so much we don't know about them. I need to finish 4-4 first...just a little more left!

What? No court?! Aw, and I was looking forward to prosecuting... :edgeworth: Oh well... Knowing Edgey, he probably has them as good as guilty with his detective work. Actually, I never really liked Nick's investigation phases since I found them rather tamed. Now court--that's exciting. It's Nick's domain. :phoenix:

But I bet I'll love this game. I like Edgey a lot and his investigations are much more interesting, that's for sure. And I quite like that contrast between him and Nick--his sophisticated thought processes and his graceful demeanor. And I bet I'll love this way more than AJ. In fact, I was really missing Edgey back then. He always made those comebacks in the other games but there's no mere mention of him in GS4.

The first thing I did in the Demo was make him run into the wall XD Then I made him run in circles for ages...it never got boring hehee. THEN, I got on with the game.

I reckon I'll love this game and Its definetly gonna be high on my "Favourite Games List"

Well, it may be the newest game in AA universe, but nothing can ever relate to the old PW games. :phoenix:

Spoiler: Open at Own Risk (GK)
Case 4 of GK does take place in court, so... I dunno. :yogi:

They always settle in things in the Courtroom, where the guilty will always lie. This might be interesting, but I kinda miss the old Courtroom. :udgy:

With all these new features around, people might like it, some might not. I think it all depends on the player. There is a demo, then I kinda had fun... When I first played the demo, I wished the whole GK version was there. :hotti: I guess will have to wait for it's release in the new year Jan. 2010. :edgy:

I think you won't be prosecuting anyone. You still got the investigation, you know. Maybe you'll still be the one to cross-examine. I'm not sure, but I kinda have this feeling you prosecute anyone. Sorry... :sadshoe:

I'm fairly sure that you don't get to cross-examine someone from the prosecution's bench, but that the murder itself takes place in the courtroom and you actually get to move around inside the courthouse and interrogate witnesses in different places.

Ah, that explains a lot. Now I remember I do recall something like that. Sorry for the confusion, folks!

But I still wanna prosecute... Maybe Capcom should give it a shot. A game from Edgey's point of view. But then, you'd always lose to Nick. ^^U

Well since I've yet to play this, or know what gameplay is about, as long as dialogue isn't as long and you can actually SEE what's going on instead of lame (But funny) use of sprites that the PW games used it'll be an improvement to say the least, trading off the actual court sequences.

Ah, the joys of having Edgeworth under your control! No, of course there's no double entendre! :gant:

Seriously, though, I think I'll probably really enjoy it just because Edgeworth's the protagonist. He's such a great character, and as long as the rebuttals are as intense and gripping as the cross-examinations are in the regular games, I won't be too upset about the absence of courtroom segments.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I played the demo too, and the whole time I was thinking something like, "Well, this is okay, but it's not exactly blowing me away." I blame the awkwardness of the in-game tutorial.

"To do such-and-so, I simply blah-dee-dah-dee-dah. Why? Because that is how I do things."

Seriously? Edgeworth was not winning cool points there. :lana:

Yes, yes, I know it was just the first case, and I know they've gotta tell you how the game works SOMEHOW, I'm just saying I felt underwhelmed. That said, I really think the rest of the game will meet my expectations. :phoenix:

It took me forever to get Edgeworth out of the office in the demo :'l Gumshoe kept getting in the bloody way.

Also when I tried to examine the fallen books by the victim the demo froze, no clue why because it seemed to be working fine before hand..
