In my opinion, it is fine. Then again, you're talking to the person who doesn't really take parings seriously and supports just about everything, but still....

That is the proper protocol on this forum, but sometimes people don't remember where they found something, or they found it already on photobucket and aren't sure who the artist is. And with pixiv, you have to have an account to see the pictures, so people save them other sources to we can all see them. I don't think anyone here is trying to claim work that is not their own, and if that mistake arises, people are quick to correct it.

Understandable. I forgot that registering an account on pixiv can be difficult for non-Japanese speakers, and actually I've found I can't view pictures at all when I'm not logged in. How odd. Anyway it's just that I know people on pixiv who have raised complaints - to me or otherwise - of people posting their artworks in english communities and not crediting or linking to their account, and it is a source of art theft - I have caught and banned many pixiv thieves in an art community I use to be at. Because of these experiences I guess I am a bit fed up and insulted to see distribution of artworks from pixiv - many artists there cannot speak English or protect their creative material. It just seems unfair to them. But good intention or not, the lack of crediting does open the possibility to art theft.

Usually there is at least one case where I resort to presenting random evidence in hopes of it being correct, but everything seemed kind of obvious in this one.
On a somewhat related note, they said "isn't it obvious?" less in this game.
And every time this phrase is uttered I hear it in Professor Laytons voice. >.>

Yep. I haven't finished the game yet (I swear I'm probably the only one who hasn't), and I've only used a walkthrough once (I'm on the last case). I probably lost everyone's respect just then by admitting I use walkthroughs.

I used a walkthrough once during the second one.
It was one of those times when you have to point to the right spot on the evidence, and I could not for the life of me figure it out. After looking at the walkthrough, I realized I had missed the correct spot by a ridiculously small amount on my first guess. I never used a walkthrough again after that incident. Actually, my mom had wanted to name me Maegan, but she forgot that thanks to being delirious after the delivery and spelled it Meghan instead. People tend to address me "May", so I spell it the way my mom originally intended it to be.
