I really, really hope that's true! :will:

Not sure why that would happen, though. Why would they release it here first, when all of the others were out first in the US?
Regardless, I'm happy. It would be a nice change. :maya:

To be honest, I don't really care who gets it first as long as it's released somewhere on that date. :P
It would be nice if we got it first though, for a change.

Maybe by releasing it in UK first it would be them slyly hinting that Edgey is indeed British =P

I agree with Wooster's proposal that it's likely a mistranslation.

Capcom releasing it before an American release is extremeley, extremely unlikely. It's probable something got lost in translation.

They still haven't released PW3 here, have they? I say even later. I know, maybe in 2019 like the game! :chinami:

I so hope it's true, 2 months earlier. . Obscure games do get released in EU before US sometimes. Who knows, maybe they decided to do the languages translation all at once in the same 'project' or something. I think maybe it helps test the marketing waters or whatever? Remember that the ENG game was first announced at that EU game conference.

I think it would be cool. Not just 'cause I'm British.... XD

(But if you listen to his voice clips, he could pass off as British. Kinda.)
[/wishfulthinking]

I don't think it will be released earlier. There's no reason why it would be, and like others have stated, the November date is probably just a misconception of Winter '09.

I think the problem might be that the site is not the official E3 site or something of that nature. I'm not sure though, and I'll wait for Capcom to say something before I get my hopes up.

Most of the magazines over here are giving a "Winter 2009" although the UK Offical Nintendo Magazine implied a pre-Holiday release. So a November release isn't out of the question.

I reckon Edgeworth is British, who else would enjoy tea so much? :edgy:

Yeah, in the July issue, it had a few new english screenshots and a little feature on what Capcom game they should put Phoenix in next because he's no longer a main character thanks to :odoroki: and :edgy:. Suggesting stuff like Megaman, Street Fighter and We love golf (mainly because there's an Ace Attorney costume in it)

In the French Magazine here, it said 'Hiver 2009' Which means 'Winter 2009'.
So, maybe it's all over Europe. O___o

No I don't. All release dates announced by Capcom said Winter 2009. A very vauge statement. Which could mean anywhere in January or February of 2010, seeing as that's still the Winter of 2009. This would also account for the release date circulating for a January 2010 release date. I said it's probably something lost in translation (but really, more like hype as Wooster corrected), that the game would be released in November of '09, before a U.S. release date, which is very unlikely to happen.

No no. The dates announced by Capcom said "This Winter", 'This Winter' is a very different, yet overlapping, statement then 'Winter 2009'.

The lost in hype stems from people drawing conclusions from 'This Winter' or websites with cookie cutter release date databases. 'This Winter' is an openly vague statement. It won't fit nicely in with more obvious release dates like "Spring 2010", "Fall 2009" etc. If I said "This Fall" or "This Spring". You'd know exactly what I meant. But 'This Winter' has enough ambiguity to specify something that was not intended, regardless of if it's true or not.

And besides the seasons thing doesn't refer to calender and geological seasons either. But, fiscal seasons instead, which would be:

Winter : December, January and Febuary
Spring : March, April and May
Summer: June, July and August
Autumn/Fall: September, October and November

The difference is that while November is normally considered Winter and Febuary as Spring, this system evenly splits the year up into 4 while having new year start in March. So when "Winter 2009" is said it actually means "It will be out by the end of the fiscal year of 2009" because has far as the market is concerned, even though the date says "28th of Febuary 2010" they are still living in 2009. The reason game companies follow this is so they get more time to make the game while keeping fans relatively happier by saying it could potentially come out this year instead of that year instead.

Capcom press release (because of Comic-Con) and various websites like IGN and so on.
