Heh I'd love to see Edgeworth's reaction to Trucy if Phoenix did show up at some point. Wonder what he'd say when he finds out she's his daughter?

Yeah, both Klavier and Franziska would be good picks, as they're both characters as flat as a sheet, and could need a little filling. Then again, I absolutely loathe Klavier for his overall boringness, so I vote for a Franziska game where she goes through law school and ages a few years with every subsequent case, showing her growth as prosecutor. I think that'd be interesting.

Oh, and you obviously get Manfred as support.

Game starring :yummy: set in the AJ timeline but conatains a number of characters from the PW timeline so we can find out what's happened to them threw out the years.

Possible side kicks:

:Hoboright:
:megaphone: (he wants to be a detective remember)
:eh?:
:cody-flash:
:shoe:
An original character

Rival:
:kyouya: and/or :garyuu: (they seem to know each other enough for Ema to do a pretty impressive impression of him.)

Heh, that's a pretty good idea. :D
Maybe some cameos from the PW Series. OWO
Or maybe you play as her for investigating, and play as Klavier for interrogation. 8D
Then it'll still be 'Kenji'-Like. xD

I can see that ending up as a game. Klavier might be a good rival (or another original character). I just have a hard time seeing Ema working with Cody.

How about Lana Skye: Ace Attorney Investigations? OwO
Lana's assistant? Ema, of course~
It'll explain what happened to the main Characters, like Edgeworth, Gumshoe and maybe The Feys.

But then you'd be playing as Franziska from ages 11 to 13 or so, and she *couldn't* grow as a prosecutor because she would have to end as the whip-happy harpy with no logic skills and even fewer morals that we see in JFA...!!

Oh god, if that's her after she's "grown" I can't imagine what she was like before. :beef:

Good point. Maybe in the end of the game she can get clobbered on the head by Wellington or something to explain that.

Oooor it could be a game where you start with Franziska "present time" and she actually grows to a believable character!

I'm fine with another Edgeworth game, but please, give Franziska a better role next time. Capcom, you prooooooomised! (when they said she would play a significant role, then people complained that she wasn't a particularly important or necessary character)
The end of JFA gave a little insight into why she acts the way she does and hinted that there's more to her than arrogance, violence, and abusing the word "fool." She must have had a pretty messed up childhood.

I'd also like to see a female version of the prosecutor/detective buddy cop duo. Franzy and Ema, maybe? Doubly pwning Klavier is pretty much a given.

The reason I don't want more Edgeworth games is because it feels like they can't do much more with his character. Franziska, on the other hand, needs character development.

But, I could imagine him being a supporting character.

On second thought, I think I'd prefer a Klavier game - but I think Edgey should be his mentor or something, Kristoph could play a role similiar to Franziska's in AAI, Rou could appear as a mix between rival and ally, and Klavier would get a new female assistant and a new, female rival, who's the "main" rival of the game.

Definitely more Edgeworth first but no necessarily three maybe more maybe less. After that maybe :pft: . Definitely not Franzeska she is to mean she would not work well as a main character.

Like I said, I'm all for a Franzy game.

As for returning characters that aren't Franziska, I wouldn't mind seeing
Spoiler:
Kay, Gumshoe, Edgeworth, Lang, Badou, Adrian and Himeko return. Maybe Lablanc as well. Or Lana or Lotta.

I agree for Edgeworth, Gumshoe, Lang and Adrian, and Badou. But Kay, Himeko?? They're "related" to Edgeworth, not really to Franziska... But maybe!

and

I really liked Damian, and I'd be very happy to see him return. The only problem with him is he's probably very rarely outside the embassy, which would limit the kinds of cases he could appear in.

Uhhhh I don't remember if he's married! Married to Manny, maybe :sawit:

Assuming they follow Edgeworth again, the only way to get the Kenji main cast back would be to do some kind of international case again (since Fran and Lang are both overseas), so it's not totally unlikely that Damian would have another chance to appear. Maybe he could lend some insight to another country's ambassador? That way he can be useful without it being another Cordopia case.

Man, I wonder how Capcom could keep up with the demand for new Ace Attorney games haha. They are freaking awesome and it has a fan base as seen on this site, so I'm up for anything. Now this makes me wonder when GS5 will appear haha. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful at all because I enjoy replaying through all the cases over and over again from the four available titles, but I'm kind of looking forward to another Apollo game. Still, I do really like the idea of having games where you play as Edgeworth.

In Japan the game is "Turnabout Prosecutor" so in order for it to star Ema, Diego, or any other non-prosecutor they'd have to create yet another spin off. But Kenji's style and gameplay were so successful (in my opinion) that it would be silly for them to spin off again. It weakens the central focus of the franchise.
