Like someone else said, a problem I had with logic is that it tended to either be blindingly obvious or left me so confused I either had to completely guess or look it up online.

As much as I might hate to see it, I almost feel one thing necessary to improve the logic system would be a pond full of red herrings.

Basically, add new logic for every single new piece of evidence and maybe even objects in a room completely unrelated; enough that it's even more cluttered than the Court Record/Organizer. Only then would there actually be a puzzle. (When Phoenix is presented with an infinite-penalty question, he kinda has more than just Attorney's Badge and Bloody Knife)

As someone else said, bring the logic up when it's first suggested. The red herrings would help because it would ensure people don't assume everything is related. ie, when the TV is loud, you don't assume "this will come into play later!" because something appears for everything. Then, when all of an object's mysteries are discovered (through a testimony, logic, or other means) that "logic" should disappear.

I think the system was a good idea but just needs a lot of work to go correctly into things.
I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

Actually, I think I'd like to see some of this in AA in general. I knew that
Spoiler: AAI-5
Shih-na getting arrested wasn't the end of the case because there was still a bunch of stuff that has gone unused.
For example, the flowers in case 5 turned out to be relevant, but the spare knives which are even more conspicuous did not. Guess which of those went to the organizer. I believe Victor Kudo knows what I mean.

:igarashi: *extremely irrelevant testimony* Well? How about that? I've turned this case around, haven't I? (He did.)

Ayup yup. Although that could lead to people complaining about a really cluttered court record/organizer/mind. And it could lead to a situation where two pieces of evidence/ways of thinking could both work but only one's accepted, which would really piss people off.

I still think it's a good idea, just throwing in my two British pennies~

Clearly the logic system should work more like Psychonauts.

There are TWO people on this forum who've played Psychonauts other than me? Is the world going mad?!

I can see Edgeworth sitting in his mind now, calmly sipping some tea while his cravat-wearing censors ride around on stallions and slam down on poor Raz...

Both of those kinda happen now. Listing any examples would be off-topic, because we're here to throw in our opinion on the logic system in AAI.

I didn't think the Logic system was rather necessary.

However that's only because I feel that the other characters in the series use logic without a moment's hesistation. The player uses logic normally when pointing out contradiction. It's not like every piece of evidence says "USE THIS HERE DURR DURR" so it's up to the the player to choose the piece of evidence that logically makes sense for that situation.

It's like standard game process in court....except adding an unnecessary step that is normally done automatically.

Though I was disappointed that logic-fail game overs don't result in Edgey going
:edgeworth: "I'm too stoopid to prosecute DURR DURR DURR"
:sadshoe: "Alright Sir let's get you back to the ward..."

You thought you could be safe in your courts, with your laws and attorneys to protect you. In this world only I am law, my word is fact, my power is absolute.

LOL! I think the Logic System exists for Edgeworth because he's not like most people; jumping two steps ahead of the case, arriving at the solution, and working out the rest of the picture as they go along. I think Edgeworth's the type that takes his time and scans every detail down to the last red herring rather than jumping to conclusions like Phoenix. :phoenix:
