I don't mind fics that are cracktastic involving characers with yet-to-be-determined personalties. I think I would have a problem if a fic between the two attempted to be serious. Does the bad slash usually happen before or after a game/book/movie/whatever comes out?

I don't know much about sports, myself. That reminds me... remember the song "Paradise By the Dashboard Light"? There was a baseball commentary going on when the two characters were gettin' it on, if that gives you any ideas.
And then there's all the basketball metaphors you could use. "He shoots, he scores!" "Slam dunk!" "Two points!"
Not to mention the obvious football metaphor: "TOUCHDOWN!!"
Also. He should totally be wearing a jock strap under those nice dress pants of his. Totally.

My husband was so kind as to translate the part on the GK website that talks about Makoto.
It pretty much had the stuff that we knew about already, such as his trademark lively/refreshing smile and the fact that his sports training helps him in the courtroom. (It says something like: Sports, along with the "weapons of nerves and reflection" help him to be a prosecutor.)One interesting thing was at the end of the page though. It says that Makoto is pretty much at the same level as Edgeworth, who they call a genius prosecutor. It says that the competition/rivalry between them is twisted... Hrm. It didn't really elaborate but... twisted? Heh, I can definitely use this in my fic. XD

Don't you mean 'couldn't care less'? But I think this might be true. That and the garden of justice speech. He actually had some pretty funny lines in the games if you go back and replay them. I was replaying the 1-3 the other evening and noticed that in one of his objections that he tried to sound cool by turning a popular phrase "Don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk" in to his own.
Edgeworth (Regarding Ms. Oldbag as the killer): She could look the Steel Samurai look with that costume...But she couldn't walk the the Steel Samurai walk! She wouldn't have limped!

I loved replaying the first game, because I had forgotten how childish Edgeworth was at first. The hissy fits... good lord, the hissy fits!
But my favorite thing he ever said is this:

Don't worry, I apparenlty made the same mistake. We can easily rectify this by talking about Mr. Makoto.
I wonder if they'll make his sports references subtle (almost like Klavier's song references in AJ), or if they'll make it way over top to the point of annoyance.
