Wow.....I just read through most of that, and....Wow. I mean, yes, he did cause the accident, but the picture was taken too far in the court, IMO.

Given that the technology in Gyakuten Saiban does not seem to be futuristic, and that photographs can be accepted into court record without being scrutinized to see if they are doctored digitally, I could see it happening. Even now the validity of photographic evidence is hotly disputed given how much digital editing software has improved. Extrapolating the current trend in that technology, even by the time GS1 takes place photo-editing could theoretically be utterly indistinguishable from an unaltered photograph in the hands of an expert.
