It seems that the offical site has released a demo version of the game which you can play here. Of course the demo is only in Japanese, but still it looks interesting. I was really amused by the scene of Gumshoe following Edgey wherever he went XD. I went as far as I could, but wasn't able to finish playing the demo>_< I was a bit supriesed that the game tells the real murder at the very beginning like what they did in the first case of AA. Does that mean that the game will still focus on debating rather than reasoning? Can be a good news...

What's your opinion?

Loving it so far, Reminded me of a cross between AA and old adventure games.
Like Broken sword, Monkey island..yadayadayda
As far as I'm concerned, The "detective bit" may carry on to GS5. (hell, it beats static backgrounds, no?)

Using my (very limited) Japanese, I've been playing the demo. ^_^

From what I've seen so far, I like it. :edgy: Now, if only I could understand everything...

I have no idea what's going on, but I did get to the body investigation scene. I somehow kicked myself out of it, and now I can't get back in.

I can't wait for this game to come to America.

It's fairly enjoyable, and I'm liking the 3rd person view. Hopefully we'll get an english demo soon, given how they did the same thing AJ.
Anyone else notice that Gumshoe's chin keeps getting cut off when he talks?

I have a feeling we won't even get an English demo until well after the game itself is released in Japan. :yuusaku:

But at any rate, the demo's great! I had no clue what they were saying, but the logic was easy enough to figure out that I was able to work my way through it.

I like the music and the new sprite style very much!

I'm already ripping the game, if this sprite is typical then this is going to be an awesome game.

Well, this is the first chapter anyways so no wonder they'll start out easy. Besides this one was even more mindboggeling easy:

"HURRR...THERE IS A KEY IN THIS ROOM....HALP EDGEWORTH''

And Wtf

Same here. Except it can happen at anytime. It happend:

-When I talked to that cop on the left
-When I investigated the body
-When I got to the part with the bloody handprints(here is where I said "screw it"')

Mine's been fine. Had to lol when Hugo had that 'Oh So Kinky' look plastered on his face. Also when Gummy was stressing and doing a bit of a dance.

I think we can get up to all sorts of mischief just with the demo alone.

(It was a bit slow, in fact. But I guess running in slow-mo is fuuuun XD)

The demo was pretty enjoyable and the graphics seem more lighter than AJ.

Spoiler:
Is it just me or does Makoto seem bored when he killed the victim? I would've expected either a sad face or an evil smirk... Wait, sporty victory smirk.

I got stuck and gave up but with translation.... I still got stuck. But I got further WOO!

On examining I kept pressing the top middle button instead of the bottom right one :knock-knock:

Thanks for translating, I love any Edgey/Gummy conversations :edgy:

Ooh, I just finished playing the demo. I had the translation on the left and the game on the right, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Spoiler:
Dude, Makoto's expression after killing the victim. Dude. It was kinda bored, or...well, what's the word I'm looking for. "Holier than thou"? Uppity? Like he was looking down his nose at you. 'Twas very cool.

And Maggey was adorable in a darker way. But still. I prefer her this way, honestly.

Did anyone else notice when Edgeworth said that Makoto stole a file relating to "that certain case"? At first I thought it was DL-6, but why would Makoto care about that?

I'm assuming it has something to do with Gumshoe at least, he seemed to be putting Gumshoe in a murderer for that reason.

Is it just me, or does the opening text sounds like how Edgeworth was in the past as a prosecutor? "I'll do anything to get me guilty verdict." "I am a genius prosecutor." Also, I think Makoyo only killed him because he "will do anything for a guilty verdict." Maybe the victim was a witness that the defense found?

Where can you find a translation of it? I would really like to actually know what they were saying instead of just guessing what button to press.

I tried the demo, and here are some excerpts from my thoughts:

MAN, can these people talk. FLICKING THROUGH LANGUAGES I CAN'T READ, LALALA.

Wow, that Hugo sure likes his bright colors.

So, a game where you play as the annoying prosecutor Edgeworth while he's followed around by Dick Gumshoe, who'll probably do nothing but sing in your praises as he bumbles along in that oh-so-adorable Gumshoe way? Sounds awesome.

HOLY HOLINESS, ACTUAL POLICEMEN. As opposed to the non-existent ones Phoenix would always go on about.

The game got stuck when I tried to see what indecipherable words of wisdom Gumshoe had in store for me, so I didn't play much, but it still seems like fun.

I played it right until I got up where you had to press Yuuki and such, then I got stuck and stopped playing it. xD;

The translation helped greatly but I was still stuck. xD

Spoiler:
Perhaps Gumshoe somehow foiled Makoto and found the real murderer when Maoto was trying to prosecute a fake one? It seems to me that that would make the most sense since in the beginning he talked about how he had to find everyone guilty...

I actually finished the demo and was impressed. I like the adventure style direction, but I want GS5 to remain like the series always has for the sake of tradition and stuff. GK can go crazy with the style for all I care.

Anyway,

Spoiler:
I liked Makoto a bit more than I thought I would, though he was still a little annoying. Also, seeing Maggey again is so cool. I love how she changed. I have high hopes for this game.

Honestly speaking the navigation system put me off a bit at first but I guess you'll get used to it after a while.

I actually got Gumshoe stuck walking in place when I made Edgeworth run too fast over to the side, so I hope they might want to clear up bugs like that, but it's nothing serious (kinda comical really)

Yeah, honestly I wasn't a big fan of the navigation. I hope that once it's on an actual DS you'll be able to use the directional pad instead of their wacky movement square thingie. I had trouble at first getting Edgeworth to investigate the things I wanted.
