When does it really take place?

Tuesday's translation a while back says that the game will happen around T&T, but what little we know of the plot seems to suggest that it takes place between PW:AA & JFA. In a trailer that was recently posted, mentions things like "what does it mean to be a prosecutor", which seems to imply that this is the story of Edgy's transformation. But that happened prior to 2-4.

What do you guys think?

The staff has said outright that it takes place "around GS3." Before or after, we don't know. We don't know anything about the plot outside of "Edgeworth and Gumeshoe investigate stuff." I think the reason they're making such a big deal about "WHAT IS LAW!??!?" is because that's Edgeworth's main selling point - his growth as a person, rediscovering the purpose of his profession.

Er...as far as I know, the trailer was divided into two parts: Edgeworth past time(in GS) and now(in GK), it said Edgeworth used to be a jerk but he changed somehow and new stories will begin, so I guess they won't mention a lot about Edgey's growth in the new game. :edgy:

I'm still confused no matter how things happen. It's sort of surefire that he's out of the country, but then WHY IS GUMSHOE THERE?
Agh. I'll put off my confusion and wait for official information.

Actually Gumshoe will not work with him a lot in the game, the latest interview announced so.

ooh thats bad news, maybe that means that the key girl is the assistant. But seriously that really takes away a lot of the selling point for me if it's true

I have a feeling that the game is gonna take place in Europe. Gumshoe is probably gonna be in the first part until he gets called back to the US to investigate with Godot. That would also explain where Oldbag was in T&T and why she doesn't come back until Edgeworth comes back.

Well, I've heard it in a lot of places but I read that the producer, Matsukawa, said it takes place in Los Angeles at the information part of CR. Click here to see for yourself. :eh?:

The American version takes place in America & the Japanese version takes place in Japan.

I don't know about the European version though..

The European Version takes place in the same place as the American Version.

Well, it does when you play it in English. Don't know if it's the same when you're playing it in any other language.
