Killing you? Are we talking about Mafia killings? Court related death? Lynch votes? (not really killing but....) And, how would this work? You would be told someone is tryig to kill you, but you'd still die anyways.

Lynch Votes aren't kills, so that doesn't count. It refers to any "nightly kills" - direct kills made during a phase. It's referred to as nightly kills because they almost always happen at night.

HIDDEN POWER: ???

Are we talking in a row as in you can protect Day 1, but not Night 1, then you can Day 2 or is every other Night and Day? (Day 1 yes, Day 2 no, Day 3 yes)

Wot WE sed lulz

The wording explicitly states that it only applies to lynch voting, which only happens during daytime phases.

So, wait. Fingerprinting Powder will make it so when someone files a hit against you you're told?

That, and it tells you WHO is trying to kill you.

Post subject:  Re: CR Mafia Discussion

"Who" being "the Mafia" if it's a nightly kill because it's not limited to one person. The Fingerprinting Powder isn't intended to reveal player identities - maybe that wasn't clear. :/

Yes it is. You don't HAVE to use it though. I expect most players will just discard it.

It is 5 hours ahead actually. If you live in EST the magic time for you is 7:30 PM.

BST = British Summer Time, just to be confusing.
GMT = Greenwich Mean Time, the normal time for Britain.

It also just so happens to be UTC. :P

For some reason I can't access the VG Mafia Server at all. Apparently, it doesn't exist (<_<). This is a problem, considering that I've signed myself up for VG Mafia Round III. >_<
I know that a few other people here were having the same problem. What do I do?

Well, generally, yes. It should become quite clear in practice. If you've got any specific questions though, we'd be glad to answer them!

you can't get cut if you use quick reply. That's why I use it, so I don't have to hit submit 18 bajillion times.

Personally I don't mind getting cut sometimes C: Especially in this game if someone posts something before you do and you see it in the cut message and you think that posting what you wanted to post might give away your position at that point its good to go back and edit.

Oh! Does the Special evidence that Amnesiacs carry count towards their capacity limit?

Not until they know they have it, which could be a problem. ;D

Check the evidence manuals and you'll see that in the event of excess Special Evidence, you are in that case allowed to Transfer one to another player. If you don't, extra pieces will be randomly Discarded. Funfun. n_n

Damn..... XD
I though I was on to a way of discovering Amnesiac status!

Oh...so they already had a special they would have to use, discard, or transfer.....
D: That would suck if you already had goo evidence and the Amneciac evidence is also good.

I would think "goo" special evidence would be better than "goo" normal evidence.

Post subject:  Re: CR Mafia Discussion

So if you had special evidence and were amnesiac, but recieved special evidence, you'd be able to use the recieved evidence normally? Or would you be informed you had two pieces? Or would one be taken away randomly? [a bit confused]

Gah. I fail. We've changed the rules so many times, even I'm lost. Read Velo's explanation below instead.

Wild Cards do not have a Special Evidence slot.

Wrong. You're thinking of an old version of the rules. Admittedly we've revised this so many times...

ALL players this round have one slot for Special Evidence and three slots for Standard Evidence. No exceptions.

Quote:
However, some Wild Cards are actually Amnesiacs. If they wake up while holding a piece of Special Evidence in their Evidence Bag: suddenly they have TWO pieces of Special Evidence. Naturally, as players are not allowed to hold more then one piece of Special Evidence in their Bag this round, one has got to go. Therefore, before they can take any other actions, the newly awakened Amnesiac must choose to either Transfer one of the two pieces of evidence to someone else (keeping the other in their special evidence slot) or Discard one of them. Get it?

Fixed. Not far wrong, Regy. :P

Alright question time!

Lets say I was an amnesiac holding special evidence (that I had no idea about) that is meant for the townie role. But I affiliated with the mafia before I found out. If I did find out I would automatically be turned into a Wild Card again, right?

(Sorry if this was outlined in the roles and I'm just repeating myself like an idiot XP)

(It's in the rules, but I'll go through it again anyway.)

When a player's Amnesiac status is stripped, the player's affiliation is forcibly changed to the affiliation of their actual role. This means that suddenly being forced to play for the other team is a possibility.
