I'm a little hesitant to tell people I like Linkin Park. So many fan haters. Saying you like Linkin Park is like walking into a Final Fantasy forum and saying, "Hi guys FFVII is really cool, don't you think?"

:gs4-people:

So yes! Don't be embarrassed, you can tell me! :gant-jazz:

I love a song by the Backstreet Boys to death. Once I listen to it, I listen to it at least a dozen times more.
Yeah, that's really embarassing to admit ... Woah, if my metalhead friends knew this XD

I'm usually embarrassed to admit that I love Jpop groups like Morning Musume, AKB48, etc., mostly because everyone I know doesn't like/hasn't heard of that stuff.

Oh I forgot about those. I'm reluctant to admit it because the first thing that a lot of people will think is "oh it's in Japanese, she is obviously one of those weirdos who will like anything associated with Japan in any way no matter what it might be."

...and I am someone who cares very much about what other people think!

I love K pop and J rock and pop, but I never tell anyone outside of the internet. I told one girl at school and let's just say it didn't go too well DX

Other than that...I guess it would be Linkin Park or Evanescence. I'm not totally in love with their songs, but I do like listening to them from time to time...

....Panic! at the Disco

I mean, hell, when I bought the first album at FYE, as the cashier was ringing me up, he mumbled to himself "*sigh* Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, all the same bullcrap."

Thanks for making me feel like crap for buying it dude.
And no, I don't like MCR. I like a couple of songs by FOB though, and I can see why people compare them with PatD.

I like theatrical-sounding stuff so shoot me.

Lol, so true XD

Anyhow, I guess for me it'd be Evanescence, not because a lot of people don't like her but because if you ever met me in real life, I don't seem the type of person who'd like her music
Also, I don't always admit to everyone that I enjoy Kelly Clarkson and Britney Spears (I liked her old music only, though). I don't know if this would be considered "embarrassing" but few know of my like of Nine Days, also.

Oh, actually what's kinda embarrassing is that I have (and often listen to) Celtic music on my iPod :edgy:

I've also heard that going into a room of techno lovers and saying that you love trance is like the same thing as the whole FFVII thing :yuusaku: (I love both, but I'm slightly more into Trance because I do enjoy my melody sounds, lol)

How's that embarrassing?? I know a lot of people(outside the Irish dancing community) that really enjoy Celtic music. Maybe it's just because I've been dancing for awhile that I never thought of Celtic music as odd or anything... :yogi:

...Nope, none at all. I'd even happily say I like musicals XD Sorry for spoiling your topic with my non-embarrasedness.

My maternal grandparents have enough Irish heritage that growing up I had a background itch for Celtic music. This past Christmas PBS was promoting the Celtic Women group. I caved in and requested it for Chirstmas. I wouldn't consider myself a connoisseur, but I'm quite fond of Orinoco Flow, Spanish Lady, and Mo Ghile Mear. I've never heard any group articulate so perfectly before. I mean, since when is articulation something I favor?

Lol, I'm glad you guys support me. Unfortunately, among my group of friends, it's not exactly something I can easily admit. My friend took my iPod and put it on Shuffle and saw the music and just gave me a "WTH" face, sooo... lol. :edgy:

For as much heavy metal in my library, I can still listen to "Bye Bye Bye" from N*Sync and, occasionally, a Hoobastank album.

But I don't feel embarassed by telling others; I ostracize them.

Nothing to be embarrased about there :butzthumbs:

If someone is really embarrased to admit they like some band, they aren't gonna mention it here. Unless they really aren't embarassed by it.

And on that note i do have Paula Abdul's "Forever your girl" album :keiko:
