Went to a nightclub playing dubstep. Left half an hour later.

Glad to see some dubstep appreciation on here. Yellow Magician, please give respect for people's tastes, it may seem crap to you like heavy metal does to me but you don't need to state your opinion like that.

Mt Eden is how I got started on Dubstep. I don't listen to it a lot now, but I still listen to Sierra Leone on occasion.

Here's my favourite dubstep songs:
Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon (Noisia Remix)
Downlink - Android
Downlink - Crippled Camel
Excision & DatsiK - Swagga
Excision & Downlink - Heavy Artillery (SKisM Remix)
Excision & Downlink - Reploid
Borgore - Guided Relaxation Dub
Noisia - Machine Gun (16Bit Remix)
NumberNin6 - Menace
NumberNin6 - Nebulous
Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (Noisia Remix)
Skrillex - Reptile's Theme
Dodge & Fuski - Aerophobia
Dodge & Fuski - Void
Dodge & Fuski - Sick
Caspa - Marmite (Doctor P Remix)
Bare & Muffler - Bloodsport

Two of your links don't work but the first doesn't sound too great to me.
Still I guess I'm not really much of a clubber

From what I've heard so far, I don't really like dubstep. The ones you put, and the one from the new Panty and Stocking album (which was awesome!) didn't really appeal to me... but I do like Reptile's theme from Mortal Kombat. (which from the comments, I guess it's called "Brostep"? Trends nowadays are weird...)

Don't think I've heard that much dubstep stuff but this is amazing! I like synthpop and electronic though so I will probably like dubstep too.

That Mt Eden song is pretty... average. I mean Silence, the only one that works. That woman's voice is off-putting...

In my opinion, dubstep can be very bad or very good, depends on the execution. I believe dubstep's at its peak when it's remixing a song. See Eleanor Rigby by 4centers, and by MXWL (second version). All of them very, very good. Might be hard to listen to for Beatles purists (happened to me), but they're worth it for the most part. Also heard Song of Storms from Ocarina of Time and other Beatles remixes, and I must say I'm pleased by most.

I agree with this. Normally I dislike dubstep, but if it's a remix of a song, at least I know what to listen for in terms of a melody or song.

Other than that, I don't care for it. Some of the songs the DJ played at my prom were dubstep, and to me it just sounded so slow and over-bassed, yet people were dancing and cheering to it.
