Howdy
So I started taking dance lessons on a whim a year ago, started with Salsa because that's what one immediately thinks of when it comes to ballroom dance, but gradually shifted to Bachata after I tried it out and heard a bit of the genre, which I immediately enjoyed. To my surprise, outside of latin themed bars, both the music and the dance are quite obscure, despite the dance's learning curve being really gentle and the music being extremely melodic, emotional and overrall easy to listen to (compared to, say, merengue, reggaeton, or even salsa). Though if you were old enough in 2004, you might remember the infamous brainwashing song "Obsesion"
