Nintendo Europe's opened a teaser site for Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call, and it trumpets a release date of November 2011.

For those of us in the states, the past two Layton games released here about a month before they did in Europe, so we may be looking at an October release here, especially given Viz Media noting that Professor Layton and the Last Specter is set to be released a few weeks before Eternal Diva is in early November.

Unfortunately, the site makes no note of "London Life"; it's possible it's been cut in localization.

DeMat Update: The game's Amazon page lists the game for an October 17 release in the US. This is unconfirmed, but Amazon's dates are usually pretty accurate!

Bolt Storm Update: The game's Amazon.de page says November 25th for Europe, and Nintendo says October 17th for America - with London Life as a NA exclusive.

Go Europe! :D
Sorry.. I am just looking forward to this game so much! Although I'll probably wait for the US version anyway, since I prefer Luke's fake british accent over Luke's european voice which I find a bit too... cartoony?
Either way, it's going to be good ^^

Yay :) I'm really hoping London Life hasn't been cut though...

I didn't realise there was a voice difference for Luke. I wonder why. Anyway, I don't mind his voice in the EU version. Don't get me wrong, it irritates me, but just sounds typical cockney accent to me :P

Now that's a classy logo. Way better than the Flintstones-styled Last Specter logo. So NA and EU are tied on the PL1 logo, pretty much tied on PL2's, NA kicked EU's ass with PL3's, and EU wins PL4. That's 1 for NA, 1 for EU and two ties.

...What? I THINK ABOUT THOSE DETAILS D:>

There simply is no words to express my disappointment if this is true.

Believe me: I tried. But there simply is not.

:DDDDD

It seems I'll be continuing with my tradition of getting a new Layton game every Christmas again this year <3 Cannot wait for Spectre's Flute, especially seeing as it's likely the last new Layton game I'll be able to play without having a 3DS DX

The UK marketing never mentions the bonus minigame feature, I wouldn't worry just yet.
Does we even do these things anymore?

For the love of God, I hope marketing is ignoring London Life.

This may be a stupid question, but should I know who the woman is in the pictures on the site?

That's Emmy. She shows up in the movie, but chronologically this is her first appearance.

PL4 and 5 are prequels.

The logos for The Last Specter/The Spectre's call both look unimpressive, but at least the EU logo has a different dark blue-ish coloring to the logo instead of US reusing the Diabolical Box's logo's light blue coloration for their logo instead of using the red coloring of the Japanese logo.

logologologologologologologologologologo :meekins:

Enough talking about logos, the game is (kinda) coming out within a month. Hopefully they localize the "London Life" part of the game and not take the lazy way out by removing it (I'm looking at you, parrot minigame from Unwound Future. Except that was replaced instead of being taken out, so it gets off easy).

I actually think they did the very best they could with the Parrot minigame. The original version was about teaching the parrot words, and I guess that was too closely tied to the Japanese language for the localizers to localize it over. So they converted it into a basic (but sometimes hard!) physics-based get-from-here-to-there minigame, and I think they did a fine job with it. I applaud the localization team for their effort.

Also, updated first post with some new info.

It's October 19th for the US, as it turns out, and apparently November 25th for the EU, if Amazon.de is to be believed.
