Issue #8 of Nintendo Force magazine arrived in my mailbox today. In case you don't know, it's basically a North American bi-monthly magazine that's the successor to the more well known Nintendo Power. This month's issue was great as usual, but then I noticed something in the preview page for the upcoming May/June mag.



Does this hint at a North American review of the game, which in turn means that a release on our shores is imminent? Obviously, journalists receive these games for review quite some time before they get released to the public. Still, that essentially boils down an NA release to sometime in Q2 2014 if speculation is correct.

What do you guys think?

I'm not familiar with that magazine, so you'd know better - are their preview sections generally for games that are going to be reviewed? They've got Mighty No. 9 and Cult County there, which of course aren't coming out anytime soon, but those are also qualified with headers.

I wouldn't take this as gospel, in any event - the game's EU release means it's entirely possible they imported that English version to give their thoughts. Still, here's hoping for a release sooner rather than later.

Yes, they're previews are generally in-line with when the game comes out.

I actually think that they would be talking about the NA version because for their January/February issue, they reviewed Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. For now, it's still speculation but I think that if Nintendo Force is saying it, expect the game to come out here in May or June. That also falls in line with with how Azran and Bravely Default got released in North America, about 2-3 months after the EU release. It all has to do with how Nintendo of America releases their games according to their calender, so they decided to release these games in the next quarter.

This seems interesting, Ill have to give my friends at Pure Nintendo a message to see if they have heard anything yet about this.
