Oh wow I had so hoped it was the Advance wars Days of Ruin when I saw the title.
I mean the plot is sad but an efficient way to make a fresh start is to set it years later after wiping out the world I guess.

Personally I'd rather be Lazurian but if we are following the plot fair game.

Name: Jonathan Maxwell
Age: 31
Personality: A friendly doctor always willing to give people a second chance however the crisis that has come about lately has made him weary and tired before his years.
Appearance: (in progress)
Backstory: Born in Lazuria he moved to Rubinelle before the calamity to study medicine. Many hard years later he became a sufficiently competent doctor and was reasonably well respected in his hospital. It was a sad day for him when the war broke out but his parents live in the Lazurian countryside so he figured they were isolated and reasonably safe, suspicions which were confirmed while he maintained regular contact with them. When the calamity happened he broke his leg in rubble. His father is dead but with no coherent system of communication he has no means of knowing. After resting in the ruins of his hospital while he attempted to treat his leg with the help of another doctor who survived. Unfortunately his leg had to be amputated in the process and as such he needs a crutch and a hastily attached prosthetic to walk now. One day he packed as many medical supplies as he could in his bag and set out to try and make his way back home to his family.

Hope the Lazurian character is ok, if not lemme know I'll just go tweak the backstory.
