300x better than Los geht's. No offense Germans, but this is so much better. It's cuter, which matches Athena perfectly.

I think them using the America=Germany again in Athena's case seems forced/rushed. It would be better to choose something that suited her character, and I don't annotate Germany/Germany with peppyness or cheery nature (not saying they aren't) and I should know this to some extent... Germany is my neighbour country after all :P but if any language should represent rashness or gumption it should be Spanish, Italian or French IMO.

I thought we were supposed to be talking about English name ideas? Such as Francis L'Belle for Shuuichi Biyouin and Aaron O'Conner for Rei Shizuya?

In my opinion, Francis seems kinda overrated/obvious for a French(?) fictional character. Aaron, on the other hand, makes plenty of sense in terms of puns.

Nice. I have high bets on Aaron O'Conner for Rei and Selena Blackquill for Kaguya.

Exactly. SELENE is the name of a Japanese satellite which got the nickname "Kaguya". Coincidence, huh? And Selena also means "The Moon", which relates to the fabled Japanese moon princess (whose name was also Kaguya).

With the names given by the screenshots, here are my new guesses regarding a couple of characters:

Deemon Tenma - Akuman Tenma. Akuman comes from akuma, the Japanese word for devil or demon. If the meaning is too obscure, I tried to make it sound like "a cool man", referring to how he looks intimidating.
Shuuichi Biyouin - Alain L'Belle. Alain is just the French variant of another name and sounds kind of upper-class in my opinion.
Rei Shizuya - Aaron O'Conner. I agree with aplab23207.
Shinji Ichiro - Alexander Means. Alexander sounds pretty nice and it has Greek origins so I thought it would fit Means, who looks a lot like a Greek philosopher to me.
Chishio Atsui - Taylor Newman.

Spoiler:
If you use tailor as a verb meaning to adapt for a certain reason, her full name would say "tailor new man", as in creating a new man, since she was forced to hide her gender. And as stated before, Taylor is a unisex name.

You have a point, and doesn't "Shuuichi" have "ichi" in it? That's Japanese for "one", so it's possible.

I agree about Alain, Aaron and Taylor, although I am a bit doubtful about Alexander and still want them to keep "Deemon" in the Case 2 defendant's name.

Ohh, I have some for the DLC cast.

Reika Uratori- Nora Summers
"Nora" comes from non, like nonfiction. Summers comes from her Japanese name Reika meaning "cool summer."

Gaku Sugomori- Gage Nesters
Gage comes from the "Ga" part of "Gaku." And Nesters comes from the "Su" part of "Sugomori" meaning nest.

Ryouji Arafune- Ryan Arafune
Comes from his Japanese name.

Suzumi Natsukaze- Summer Downs
Comes from her Japanese name. Her English name is supposed to roughly mean the same, with "Downs" being how you feel if you get a cold in the summer.

Here's an article that may have showed Orla's full name: http://www.neoseeker.com/news/23910-ace ... te-on-dlc/

I won't say it's 100% confirmed yet since I find it odd that an official article from Capcom doesn't have this information or that there's no screenshot to show it but go ahead and change your guesses if you wish to.

Just a beta character of Layton Brothers: Mystery Room.

Anyway, if that is indeed Orla's last name, I wonder what Ryouji Arafune's full name is going to be. Can't say I've made any good guesses to what his English name might be although I agree with FenrirDarkWolf about what his first name might be. So Ryan Shipley, perhaps?

It's most likely Damian because(yes, for Deemon-demon pun) there was already a character with the first name Damon.
