so capcom just took down the fansubs of DGS from the DGS yt channel. This is just so...soooo triggering!!! Do they hate money!? Do they hate us fans of the series!? Do they hate westerners in general!? this was a dick move and they should know the implications of their actions... I wish Shu Takumi knows about this purely for the fact that i want him to tell us how disgusted he is with what the company did. i made a video about this situation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahchbqlp_4U |

Yup, I checked their YT channel, and it's gone. Pretty sad, considering most people 'played' DGS from that alone. However, this really isn't surprising on Capcom's part. In fact, I'm surprised that they took so long to do this. No offence meant to the translation team, of course. Must be pretty terrible having about a year of hard work flushed down the drain. |

Tbh, I can see this as a good sign. There's the possibility that Capcom is expecting to localize it for real. Why bother taking down fan translations if they're not? After all, they're not taking down videos on GK2's fan translation because that game was confirmed to have no localization. They don't lose revenue on a game they won't port. |

I wonder if Capcom is going to send a C&D letter to the fanslation team now: in that case, there'd be a slim chance they are planning something for the west market. The taking-down of gameplay videos alone doesn't mean too much IMO, it could very well be for copyright reasons. |

Come to think of it, Wii U had Nintendo DS games for Virtual console and very scarcely Nintendo actaully translates games that weren't originally translated. I could see Capcom bringing over DGS for Switch to the west and maybe Nintendo handling GK2. I'm gonna cross my fingers that them shutting down the fanslation is a sign just like Nintendo putting down A2MR and then announce an official remake of the same game months later. |

i still think shutting down the fantranslation is just a jerk move on their part. If your planning to localise the games....why bother taking down the translation by the fans if they were just doing a job that you couldn't do, yourself? At least give us confirmation so we won't rage at you... |
