I like to imagine that after the events of the GK series, Kay became a prosecutor and Edgeworth's Protege, similar to how Apollo is Phoenix's protege. I mean, imagine the hi-jinx that could spew from this!

I'd like to think they went onto become the next Yatagarasu and she picks up evidence that is concealed which Edgeworth then ensures falls into the right hands.

I think it would be cool if we had Manfred Von Karma's grandaughter as a prosecutor in the next game. You know, the one with the dog named Phoenix? She'd be about 18 if GS6 takes place one year after GS5, which is the same age Franziska was in GS2. Franziska could return and be revealed to be her mentor, and she'd refer to her as "auntie Franziska". It would be nice to see an older Franziska, matured more over the years, as she'd be in her late 20s at the time of GS6. I came up with a name for her: Amelia von Karma. It's both a German sounding name, plus it sounds very upper class with royal origin. She'd look similar to Franziska, except with pink hair in pigtails. She'd have a very childish, girly personality, giggling whenever things are going her way, and throwing a tantrum when they aren't. She'd come up with nicknames for each of the main characters, such as Nixie for Phoenix, Justy for Apollo, and Theenie for Athena. She'd also treat the Defense like they're her playmates rather than her opponents, as well as treating trials like they're a game. Overall, she'd act like a little kid despite being around 18, however she'd still be a competent Prosecutor, making her aunt Franziska very proud of her.

I thought he made that story up just to prove a point, much like he said his ATM number was "1111" (Why'd you tell anyone that?)
Still, any way to bring back old characters'd be nice in GS6. The right balance of old and new. That way it's more story driven and less feeling like the equivalent of filler episodes (The way JFA sorta felt to me at first)

Silly Mijumaru. It's "0001" because he's number one!

Anyway, he wouldn't have any reason to lie about having a granddaughter, and even the name of the dog is only an approximation of Ryuuichi, namely "Ryuu". I say he was being honest, as hilarious as it came off.

I can see his granddaughter growing up to continue the family name as a prosecutor, but if she's to take after Franziska as her mentor, I highly doubt she'd act so childish. The von Karmas are a refined lineage. This girl may be the daughter of Franzy's older sister, making her Franzy's niece. (Or as Jap fans would put it, "Mei-san no mei-san".)

Not that we know that much of the VK line in the first place. I find it unlikely that Franzy would have a brother, though. If so, I think she wouldn't care as much about Edgey living with them, since she'd have this "better" older brother to look up to instead. Also, it makes me wonder about her older sister and whether or not she actually became a lawyer herself, given that Franzy is MVK's successor. Won't mean anything for the niece, anyway.

I think it would be neat if GS6 was a prequel game set before GS1 where you play as either Mia Fey or Gregory Edgeworth. It would be interesting to see either of those characters get their own game IMO. You could meet younger versions of characters from the original trilogy, sort of like Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. The first case would feature Mia or Gregory in court with either Phoenix or Miles, showing them what being a defense attorney is all about, and serving as a means to justify there being a tutorial, as they explain to their proteges how cross examinations work. I'm not sure whether Mia or Gregory would make a better main character for their own game. Ooh, I've got it, how about we make a prequel trilogy, similar to Professor Layton's prequel trilogy? The first game will be DGS, the second game you'd play as Gregory Edgeworth, and the third game you'd play as Mia Fey!

A complaint I have about GK2 is the fact that they say the IS-7 Incident was the first time Gregory Edgeworth and Von Karma met. I always wanted Gregory to have his own game (or at least another flashback case) where he goes against Von Karma like the fierce Gods of the Courtroom that they were, but now that's impossible. Oh well...

That can't be possible anyways unless it ends like 3-4, as Von Karma never lost until meeting Phoenix, and never even got a penalty until the day Gregory Edgeworth died.

So? Gregory wouldn't have to beat Von Karma in court for the game to work. Edgeworth never really beat Shi-Long Lang in his debut game and the Prosecutor won in 2-4. Plus, Von Karma could be a rival without ever acting as a Prosecutor

Even if they had met several times before and Gregory would have challenged MVK then, each time would lead to a loss, even though they're crucial to keep the game going. Statistically, there has to be some case where we're forced to convict an innocent person. If there are no cases in the game where the defendant is innocent, then it doesn't leave Greg in a heroic or triumphant position either. It's a no-win situation no matter what.

Otherwise, it'd be fun to play as Greg in his old cases. We could finally have a game about the legal version of Batman and Robin.

Anyways, having a prequel starring Gregory or Mia would be pretty cool, especially if we get to meet younger versions of the characters from the original trilogy, such as Larry, Phoenix, Miles, and Maya. I think it would be cool if in a game starring Mia, if we get to play through Mia's final case before she died. Of course, it's not like it would really have much significance, but still.

I came up with an idea of having the ability to choose which assistant you take with you to a trial, Maya, Ema, or Trucy. Each one would have different dialogue to go with the cross examination, and would give you different advice. Since each one has a different area of expertise, each one would give better advice in certain situations. Each one could also have a special ability to help you in the trial. Trucy's ability, perception, would have her narrow down which statement you're supposed to present or press on, and Ema's ability, evidence analysis, would have her tell you which item you need to present, but not where to present it. I can't think of what Maya's ability would be off the top of my head. You'd be given a limited number of uses for the ability per trial session, when you see the next automatic save screen, that's when the amount of uses you have resets.

I'd be concerned with just how much they can help, and in Ema's case, she won't because her job would be on the line. Phoenix won't need the extra advice anyway; he can take care of himself. Apollo and Athena also earn their advice from their boss, so Maya wouldn't need to call upon Mia. And even if Phoenix disappears off a bridge again, Maya could still lend Apollo and Athena a few words of wisdom if they really became lost.

~~But then we'd have to justify why Nick would go onto a bridge and fall off, since there's no way in heck that he'd meet with a stranger on a bridge. He could be thrown off for all he knows.~~

As for Trucy, she may be a quick thinker, but she's definitely not anywhere near Mia's level of expertise. She won't be providing much beyond a few innocent suggestions.

They could simply retcon them to be more intelligent and useful! Besides, this is more of a gameplay thing than a storyline thing, it would be there just to make cross examinations a bit easier for new players.

I had imagined such a scene with chibi characters and the sound effects provided by GfM, but on second thought, it could become a case by itself. Yes, even if it was indeed Nick who threw himself off.

That, and I would like to see a list with the following choices:

"Why would the victim throw himself off?"
> It was attempted suicide
> He slipped
> He was performing a stunt

And in a strange turn of events, the correct answer is the third one. (If the defendant happens to be a stunt actor, then there could be some reasoning behind this. As for why Nick would even consider participating, let's just say a certain spirit medium wouldn't stop bothering him about it.)

Besides, Nick could always have known a little martial arts to save himself... if his ancestor actually was the one who taught Sherlock Holmes the art of baritsu.

On a bridge? The mental picture is funnier than it should be.

In Detective Conan: Prelude from the Past (DS), you could choose which assistant joined you in the investigations, which led to some unique conversations and different ways to collect information from witnesses (and there was a slight dating sim element to it). I think it could work for GS in the investigation mode too (in fact, as I am writing this, I vagely remember I have already once said this here). I think it could work for trials too. You don't need to have really differentiate between the assistents, just different ways of giving the hints or maybe 'divide' the hints (assistant A will give a hint at testimony 1, while assistant B will give a hint at testimony 2, if no assistants give a hint, then the attorney him/herself will mutter something etc).

I'd rather not have Lamiror be a victim, but a defendant. Apollo defends her and late in the case does he realize she's his mothe, because her bracelet was found in the investigation. Maybe it's about the murder of Valant Gramarye, and Lamiror is the suspect.

Isn't GS6 going to be like a pre-prequel like 300 years prior to GS1?

Also next GS game, Feys should return. As well as Gumshoe. Also have Ema be the murder victim in the first case pls.
