Discussion thread.

Jean Armstrong surprisingly came off as more of a real human than a caricature, at least after the initial meeting. Okay, maybe not by much. It was weird seeing him only pronounce half the French in the subtitles.

Meeting Victor (Maggey shooting daggers at him, ha), Viola (sort of... also, fun for Phoenix/Maya shippers) and Furio all in the same episode... they sure are speeding things up. Not sure why Phoenix would notice a random banged up scooter, but I guess they needed to meet the impostor and save some details for Viola's head wound.

It's true that I feared for the way they'd portray Jean, and regarding the speeding things up part, we're already at episode 7: they need to bring everyone in quickly so that they can fully develop the grand final instead of shoving it in one episode and a half like many anime series do.

So apparently they're getting Sam Riegel to voice Furio Tigre for the dub version of this, which I find extremely amusing considering he also voiced Phoenix in DD/SoJ. Nice stuff.

If they were to sound similar, I kind of feel like everyone in the "phony" case would have an actual excuse for being fooled.
