:karma: or :damon: ?

Personally I think Gant was, he controlled th entire law force, he was a massive power figure, untouchable, plus it takes two lawers to take him down!

What's your opinion?

Pretty sure he's referring to the first game.

And probably Manfred, I dunno.

Personally I think von Karma was the greater demon. Darke couldn't be convicted by the way things were going then, I think they mentioned it in the game, so Gant did what he had to do to put the guy behind bars. In short he was doing it in the name of justice, though his methods were wrong. Manfred however did what he did only for himself and his perfect win record.

Manfred, he had a goddamn tazer! And, he just had an eviller feel to him. Once Gant was taken down, I didn't really feel like strangling him like I did Manfred.

There is no truly evil person, The reason I liked the AA storyline so much was because in every single crime the villain ALWAYS had a reason for what they did.

There was no one person who did something bad just to do it.

An evil person does something just to watch others suffer.
To watch them decay.

True some people did it for money :redd: :aliahands:
Others for revenge :psycho-matt: :karma: :sadini:
Some even to protect themselves :luke-side: :wellington: :sawit: :zenitora:
But sometimes they themselves are victims; victims of circumstance. :delilah-hair: :godot:

Gant :gant:
If not for his over the top 'SHOCKING' sprite, then for his calm and cool but still dark and cruel attitude.
A true villain by nature.

Oh didn't notice it until now.

Although now that I think of it, it was pretty much a given that there'd be spoilers here by looking at the title... :yuusaku:

I disagree with part of that. Acro did it for revenge, but it ended up an accident. And I can't really see any accident in Kristoph's act of sending a poisoned stamp and poisoned nail polish to his supposed victims, as well as conking someone over the head with a bottle. But I totally agree with you on Dee :butzthumbs:

As for the true final villain? As much as I like Gant, I believe it's Manfred. He was the cause of basically everything in the game. Gant was really only involved with one case. I'm not saying Manfred is more powerful than Gant or a more difficult enemy. It's just that Manfred was more villainously involved with the plot.

Well the reason it was an accident for Kristoph was because he meant it for Vera...and although Acro did do it for revenge, to me killing the wrong person even if you had the intent to kill someone else is still an accident...

Depends.

If you're asking who the main antagonist is, the answer is obviously von Karma, but Gant was a much more evil villain IMO.

It felt better to me to take down Gant than Von Karma and I'm not sure why. Gant, with his arrogant attitude and his high position just seemed completely untouchable right up until the end whereas Von Karma was similar at the begininng but showed weakness as the case went on. From memory, at least o.O

I know Gant :damon: was a absolutely horrible villain and he never let his guard down until the very end, but I have to say Von Karma. :karma:
You don't get more villainous than either of those two and, perhaps,
Spoiler:
Dahlia Hawthorne :chinami: ,
but a PENALTY. A single PENALTY, and you kill someone. Now that's villainous. And anyway, he ruined my favourite character's life :edgeworth: and his dad's :gregory: and Yogi's :yogi: and the list goes on....but maybe it's a bit biased on my behalf, just 'cause it's Edgey. :edgy:
I respect the people who have said Damon, though. He was a really good antagonist and he really made Rise From The Ashes a good, intriguing case.
Please don't hate meeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I don't think any of the final villains were that great or real 'true final villains' as none of them made much sense or did things for dumb reasons. Then again, humans do that kind of stuff. In general, though, I guess I would go for Karma. He did terrible things, for stupid reasons, but also somewhat logical reasons - "The guilty will always lie to avoid punishment" and that's why he gets everyone a guilty verdict, so that none of the guilty could ever get off scot-free for their deeds. As for his reason for killing Gregory, well, those really are dumb...

As for Gant, I guess he was supposed to be an even worse guy than Karma, but... they kinda failed for me. Oh wow, a bad guy in the position of power? That has never been done before!

And I've ranted enough about why I think Dahlia is a terrible villain...
As for Godot..... that sexist, self-righteous, self-pitying little dickweed... terrible 'sympathetic villain'.

Damon Gant wasn't that much of a villain to me. He was doing it for justice, so how could he be evil? I think he just got really caught up with everything, and had good intentions.

Spoiler: Dunno if requires spoilers, but about Damon
Same excuse can be given for Karma, and Edgeworth at first, who go along the lines of getting everyone guilty cause they know that guilty people will lie. Karma also did it for his record, but anyway...

And messing with a crime scene, killing someone #1, framing someone #2 and finally blackmailing someone #3 just so he can become Head of Police faster is doing things for justice and good intentions? Couldn't he have, like, waited a week or two to get promoted? It was mentioned that the Darke case was gonna get him promoted anyway, so even if he ran off during interrogation, he was originally found unconscious. They still could've arrested him and Damon would've gotten his promotion.

I dunno, but Damon was never very evil feeling to me. Manfred was a lot more evil to me, because he truly ruined Edgeworth's life. Maybe it's that Gant doesn't hurt anyone that I have that many feelings for, but who knows.

....killing people and emotionally tormenting people is not 'hurting anyone'?
That somehow doesn't quite work.

Of course Gant did some very bad deeds, he set up an evil plan to have all the power he needed to accomplice his vision of justice and everything...blackmailing, killing, framing... however, Von Karma had a bigger impact on myself. I don't know why, but he kind of represent how far a man may go too far only for achieve his ideal. Von Karma don't matter about send to jail a lot of people which don't diserve it, VK do it without any remorse because he's convinced until his last hair about what he believe. Even when its belief imply framing, killing people.
