Do any of you have a pair of favorite siblings? I've seen people talk about their favorite characters, and some people will list- For example- Mia right under Maya. It makes me wonder if they like the Fey sisters seperatly more or the sisterly bond that they shared.

Try to keep GS4 spoilers in tags- or better yet, no GS4 siblings at all. :)

As for me? Well, I'm a Marshall brothers junkie. I know we, the players, didn't get a lot of insight when it came to how Neil felt about Jake, but after learning more about the two as siblings from Jake's mouth, we can see that the two shared a bond- I don't know that much about cowboys, [Hey, I saw Brokeback Mountain! :'D ] but after being with each other for so long I can imagine that two would become like brothers. Since the two actually were brothers...The closeness between the two is heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time.

Miles and Franziska.

EDIT: Explanations are overrated.

(No seriously, I get what you're saying, Croik, but to say I don't explain things well would be an understatement, as you'd know if you've read any of my previous posts. I usually have to just rely on other people to say something I agree with. Cause I'm just lame like that.)

As for Franny/Edgey, I just like it cause it's cute. :gymshoe:

Marshall brothers and Franzi and Edgey. Because they count. Suck it up.

And for some strange reason Acro and Bat are adorable. I blame Zarla.

Haha, alright, more love for the Marshalls. :"D

of course Edgy and Franny count, silly. xD

To be honest, I was never that keen on the relationship between Miles and Franny, but fanfictions are making me start to like it. I'm probably going to get shot for this, but Fran's just never really appealed to me as the 'sisterly' person, and if I was Edgeworth I probably would have just dropping making ends meet. The ending of JFA made me smile, though.

Spoiler: GS3
Dahila and Iris just scare me as a whole, separately. o.<

Long explanations to follow. Most of this is going under spoiler tags. Sorry about that.
1.
Spoiler: T&T
Iris and Dahlia just have such a fascinating relationship. They didn't have the clear and loving bond that many of the sibling pairs have but a far more complex one. Out of both guilt and truly unconditional love, Iris protected Dahlia for a long time until a new type of love entered her life and turned her world upside down. For someone as independent and self-centered as Dahlia was, she relied on and loved Iris (a rather twisted form of love but love none the less) even if she didn't want to admit it. Iris is the only person Dahlia is willing to listen to. For six months, Dahlia allowed potentially dangerous evidence to remain out in the open and refrained from killing Phoenix simply because Iris asked her to wait. As long as that necklace was out in the open, Dahlia was in danger and she knew it, but instead of doing whatever necessary to protect herself, she waits at Iris's request. There is no one else in the world that could have stopped Dahlia. Also, Dahlia is not overly tolerant, but for six months she tolerated Iris's failures and never harmed her. I can't see Dahlia showing that same patience with anyone else. Also, at the end of 3-5, Dahlia could easily have put the final nail in her sister's coffin while she was being channeled, but instead she tries to throw the blame away from her sister. I could go on longer and have in other threads, but I'll stop here with the explanation. I just find the relationship fascinating.

2.
Spoiler: JFA and T&T
Miles and Franziska- I understand they aren't blood related, but they were raised together and view each other as siblings. I love the sibling rivalry thing they have going. They both care for each other deeply as can be seen in Miles's coming back in JFA when he discovers that Franziska is having problems and Franziska is repeatedly concerned for her "little brother" particularly after the earthquake. I also find it amusing that for the most part, she refrains from whipping Miles. They are not only adorable as siblings, but they just have such an interesting dynamic.

3. Mia and Maya are very cute. I'm not sure this needs a long explanation as its just that bond between them, although some of Mia's actions need better explanations as she seemed rather callous about Maya's well-being at times which is why this is further down on the list. I do think they are adorable though.
Spoiler: all games
Mia leaving so that she wouldn't have to conflict with Maya over the position of Master and Maya's just so clearly devoted to Mia. I felt so bad for poor Maya during 1-2. Not only does she lose her sister who she was very close to, but she's then tried for murdering her. Poor Maya!

Please try to reply with more than just the characters' names. Tell us WHY you like them.

Like, I like Dahlia and Iris because their relationship is somewhat unconventional. Iris loves her sister unconditionally, and respects for her strengths without being blind to her faults. It's easy to make a pair of siblings that love each other, but a pair with mixed feelings is much more interesting to me.

(Also, to be on the safe side, don't talk about GS4 siblings in here, even under a tag. I can just imagine the kind of mishaps that might occur... >.>)

Mine would probably have to be Mia and Maya. Giving up the title of Master just so she wouldn't have to fight with her sister is just... so awesome ^_^ Really makes me sad they don't interact more, but the little times they do are so cute. (Sometimes in T&T, I really wish Pearl would summon Mia, and let her hang around with Phoenix and Maya x3)

Spoiler: minor 1-5
Lana and Ema probably had a great relationship too, and I hope they get that back evenually. It's really sad how much Lana changed and that she hurt people, but then you think, she was doing all of that for Ema....

I never really focus much on the Marshalls, but given what Angel said, wow, they probably had one of the strongest bonds in the series 0_0

Spoiler: JFA
I actually don't like the sibling relationship between Miles and Franzi in the game as much as I thought I did. I'm aware it's cannonly there... but I didn't really see it. I don't see that awesome sibling thing everyone else tends to see. Honsetly, they seemed more like long time friends who knew each other really well, but hadn't seen each other in a while... Very similar to Phoenix and Edgeworth... though different in a way that I'm not entirely sure of. What they have is an awesome and interesting relationship that stays basicly the same in my mind regardless of how it's viewed; but the sibling view turns me off slightly. It's really the "little bother" thing. This really doesn't scream affection to me; it's really more like she's mocking him, which I get cause she's angry with him at the time. (As a note, this is just how I see it, and I'm really not looking for a debate here. I've probably heard a lot of it anyway. If you really feel strongly about the E/F singling relationship, then just ignore me and pretend I didn't say anthing >>)

I do however, love the sibling view of them when they're little; the only toher one i think would work would be something like classmates, or good friends. But, in either case, I think they had a great back-bone system with each othe.r

I draw, see?

Oh, goodness. The picture of the Skye sisters you see at the end of the trail is just...adorable. <3 It makes me want to see how the two are doing now.

Oh, and Jeshi?

I think you can say it both ways. xD Although, I guess it's the relationship between Ini and Ini Mimi, since that's technically Mimi's name now.

This should be no surprise to anyone, but I love Edgey and Fran to bits. Being someone who also has problems expressing emotions toward other people properly, I can relate to this pair very well. They don't come from a conventional background in the sense that the Von Karma household would hug all the time or say "I love you." I would imagine Franziska and Miles had to show they cared for each other in other ways, and they're so adorable doing it in the game.

Spoiler:
When Miles left the suicide note in JFA, Franziska was the only one who knew for certain that he wasn't dead (without definitive proof, cuz Gumshoe knew only because Miles kept in touch with him). She left Germany and her perfect record to look for him and seek revenge on Phoenix(I'm guessing for both Miles and her father). Miles was just as cute in this game. xD.. after finding himself and tracking down Franziska, he had faith that she could change from her Von Karma ways, just like he did.

I also couldn't help but notice that their interactions differ so much compared to when they interact with other people. I get the impression that they're the most comfortable around each other and show sides of themselves that they wouldn't show to others.

Spoiler:
When Franziska cried at the end of JFA I seriously wanted to cuddle her. XD

You just get the general impression that they're always looking out for each other, no matter where they are. At the same time though, they're not afraid to tease each other, which I find ab-so-lute-ly adorable~ :edgy:

Fran/Miles, all the way. In each case they're the only person who isn't afraid to be utterly and completely honest with the other. I love that.

The Skye sisters, because of how they had their own ways of helping each other out.
Spoiler: 1-5
Lana tried to help Ema by covering up evidence (which was wrong, but she was only acting on what she thought was best at the time), and Ema came to Phoenix Wright despite Lana's claims that she was guilty. I admit, they didn't have the best relationship, but they cared about each other. Their relationship is more of an interesting one, because you begin to wonder how they stuck together for so long, while staying apart (emotionally) at the same time.

Miles and Franziska. I love their interaction. It... sort of makes me happy and sad at the same time.... I always imagined that Miles never had anyone to turn to when he was in Germany so they somewhat depended on each other.

Spoiler: 2-4
I think the scene with Franziska crying was enough for me. Seriously. Just the fact that she looked like a little girl was epic.

All the sibling relationships have their good points, but, like many people on this topic, I have to go with Edgeworth/Franziska as my favourite. Again, like people have been saying, it's largely the fact that they can be so open with each other.

Spoiler: 2-4
Edgeworth making Franziska cry always sticks in my mind.

I think another thing that's worthy of note is how much they trust each other.

Spoiler: 3-5
The fact that Edgeworth trusts Franziska to not blow his defence attorney cover speaks volumes to me.

Yeah, it's a bit more awkward than an ideal sibling relationship might be, but it's got the necessary elements to work.

Much has been mentioned about Franziska and Edgeworth, and while I do like them as a sibling pair, I don't have much insight into their relationship. They're not my favs or anything - perhaps because I don't really like Franziska as a character on her own.

I was looking through the character list and thought of Acro and Bat.

Spoiler: 2-3
Although Bat never really appeared in the game other than as a memory or a person in coma, it's obvious that Acro and Bat were quite close as brothers. It was kinda sad that Acro had to be convicted at the end of case 3. I would imagine that Bat would be devastated if/when he wakes up to find his brother gone. (Kinda like Diego and Mia, only in a sibling sense.)

Also, with Maya and Pearl, although they're not sisters, I find their relationship very cute. The way Pearl relies on and looks up to Maya and the way Maya chooses to be strong for the sake of Pearl makes their relationship a very strong and important one in many cases, in particular 3-5.

It seems that no one has mentioned the Judge brothers. I guess there's not much to say, really, but I just thought it'd be fun to bring it up :udgy:

Since they seem to count, Edgeworth and Franziska.
Mostly because they don't act like some of the first few sibling pairs we saw in the game. They weren't perfectly devoted to each other, would do anything to keep harm from coming to the other or similar. Franziska and Edgeworth respect each other, something that is generally not that easy to come by in most sibling pairs. Franziska looked up to Edgeworth and that partially spured on her motivation. And while Edgeworth does make a little fun of her almost little-girl-clinging-to-his-apron-string idea, he is motivating her verbally and looks forward to standing as equals with her.

Might sound weird.... I had mostly a little of a violent relationship with my brother for a long time. So maybe my eyes are a bit sugercoated when it comes to Edgeworth and Franziska. And I don't think that Edgeworth was ever really 'adopted' by Karma? At least, I think so.... it's never mentioned, he merely raised him.

Spoiler:
Apollo and Trucy, because it's so sweet how their relationship was kind of sibling-like even from the start. I especially think of case 2 when examining a cat and this dialogue unfolds: Trucy:
Hey! A kitty-cat! Here, kitty
kitty kitty.

Meow.

Trucy:
...It's not coming down.

Apollo:
We do look kind of suspicious,
you have to admit.

Trucy:
It's OK kitty-cat! His hair
won't hurt you!

Apollo:
It's OK kitty-cat! She won't
make you disappear in her hat!

I think Edgeworth's and Manfred's relationship was strictly mentor-student, but Edgeworth and Franziska have such a sibling-like relationship, like how they're constantly competing (or rather, how Franziska is constantly competing against Edgeworth). Even though their relationship seems kind of stiff, it's obvious that they really look after each other, and they don't have to show their appreciation towards each other, they can even be mean, they've still got each other's back.

Klavier and Kristoph are interesting, and it would have been nice to see a bit more of their relationship. By 4-4 it was extremely complicated, even though we didn't really get to know how Kristoph felt towards his brother. From Tv tropes "wild mass guess" section comes this theory, which I think is very plausible and fits their story.
Spoiler:
Kristoph has an intense inferiority complex towards Klavier
Kristoph is the older brother to a child prodigy who's not only a famous rock star but also a prodigy prosecutor. Even Kristoph who is an accomplished defense attorney, probably one of the most accomplished, is overshadowed by his little brother. This caused an intense inferiority complex with his brother which started his obsession with always being the best. For example, in the final case, Klavier admits that Kristoph shared all of his notes on the Zak Gramarye case with Klavier so it'd be a fair battle between them. However, he did not show him the forged note. If he had shown him, Klavier would have forfeit the court case since that would prove Zak's innocence. Kristoph purposely withheld the forged note because he wanted to beat his brother in the court in front of everyone. So his rage against Zak and Phoenix was not because he was just some mad man, it was because it killed his chance to finally beat his brother and that pushed him over the edge.

(......Ack! I've run out of snide comments!)

Definitely Franziska and Edgeworth. I adore them both, and I really like their relationship. The airport-scene... Bwah.

Kristoph and Klavier, though, I was really intrigued by them. I wish their relationship, and on a certain note, their personalities, had been elaborated some more.
