While I still think that the sales for the US games will be good here in the US, I'm not really liking what I'm reading in that post.... :larry: :uramidn:

In short, buy US T&T as well and we're in the clear. As long as we buy both I don't see how it could harm sales in the west at all.

I dislike that post. The sales will be equally good no matter what.

hence why I always push pre-ordering Phoenix Wright at work.

Capcom also looks at the pre-order data too, since GS has to send some figure on how many copies Capcom needs to ship to their stores,

Currently, my store, has 5 pre-orders for the game, With major plans for that launch day. I am gonna bring out my Phoenix Cosplay and Objection pillow for 10/23' thank good that is in dress code =p

and probably film and some funny stuff to post on YouTube. >_> Phoenix Works At GS LOL oh mass objections will be given <_<

Now only if I can con my friend to cos Edgeworth ....

That's right, I'm producing something. Expect something to come out of my new production studio.

You know, in a situation like this, I would actually encourage impatient fans to find themselves a rom of the game, and save their money to buy in their native territories once it's out, rather than simply import. You know, if you absolutely can't wait to play it. At least it keeps the money going to the right people.

Not that I support roms >.> *ahem*

EDIT: When CR polled the fandom back in June, about 75% of the voters said they would be buying/had preordered T&T, while only 20% said they were going to import. As far as I remember that's about the same ratio when JFA was released, or even more in favor of non-importers since the games are coming out closer together. So I don't think T&T will sell any worse than JFA, certainly.

I would just plain wait for the release.

DS emulators fail hard.

I'll import the US T&T to Europe, I don't know if many people will do so (I really don't want EU sales be low, they gotta be high so developers will probably care about this continent).

It is, unless it comes to Europe in 2007.

I'm not being funny... but, I purchased the first PW title here.

The European version, that is, as a free game with my DS-Lite console. That was also my first NDS handheld experience, and my only NDS handheld console purchased to date.

Furthermore, after becoming a fan, I decided to buy the second PW title that was scheduled in the near future.

However, that was an import version from Japan, that time around. I saved myself half the price of the scheduled European rip-off amount, and saved having to wait over three or more months. Simply by importing the second title right off the bat. No need for a ROM, in the slightest.

Here, the first, second, and I'm surely definite that it will be the same for the third title, of the Phoenix Wright series has sold for £29.99/£30.00 GBP per game upon release. That is, at a rough estimate, about $55-60 USD. - EACH.

Now, that, to me... is extortionate.

For a game that is essentially a budget GBA re-release title in Japan? - Come on, be serious. Who's going to want to pay that amount, for a 2D text adventure? - I sound harsh, and don't forget, I'm a big fan as you all are. But that's what it is, in essence. And Joe/Jane Public will turn their nose up at it, in a second.

What's that going to do for European sales? - Not a lot, I'm afraid!

I don't see why I can't pay half the price for the Import version and shave a few months off waiting to play the next installment of one of my favourite game series, too. I'm not made of money, and I don't like the rip-off prices of European game sales as it is.

And, think about it. That's two positive reasons for me, an Englishman, to Import! - Against those two negative choices of being charged double the amount, and sit biting my fingernails for a few more months on end.

Who's going to make themselves have to wait, and be out of pocket for the sake of it, mn? - If anyone had any common sense, I'm sure they'd see my point, here. And if I have to really scrape the bottom of the barrel, saying you imported the original Japanese title seems to impress people a lot more than saying you bought it down the road, half an hour ago. Ha-ha~.

Another note to make here is, advertisement for PW has always been poor, here in England. Hotel Dusk, on the other hand, got a huge boost media-wise as the commercial/advertisement was running in prime-time slots on television, around the time of release. Quite amazing stuff.

I know I've been pushing people to preorder T&T at work as well. I had a lass come in a few weeks ago and buy JFA and I asked if she wanted to preorder T&T, she declined then but came in just yesterday and ended up preordering it anyway. I couldn't help but snicker and was tempted to say something along the lines of "DON'T DENY THE PULL OF THE OBJECTION!"

I think my store only has my preorder and hers as far as I know, so I doubt they'll let us have anything awesome in honor of the release. :P

Hopefully, the fact that Nintendo Europe is releasing all sorts of news about Apollo Justice even before confirmation of the American verion means they're going to do better with closing the gaps in release dates.
