I actually have jury duty tomorrow. In downtown Los Angeles. Sadly, it isn't February, or else I could have possibly met everyone from Case 3-4. Not that I'm too upset, it gets me out of my chemistry research lab and into the sunny real world.

But can anyone think of PW related ways to get out of jury duty? Or at least funnier ones than what I'll suggest?

Here's one to get the ball rolling: Have another juror slide 17 cups of coffee to me during a trial, :godot: style. Then, complain to the bailiff that I have to pee.
:ka-whip: Fool! Do you even know what you're talking about anymore!?
:ack: AAAH! THAT HURT!
:lotta: I know you ain't no dummy, so don't think yer foolin' no one here!
:judge: There is a limit to everything, Mr. Wright. And that includes patience!
:mia: Phoenix! You have to think before you speak! You can't just blurt out any old thing.
:maya-shock: ...Nick! You're supposed to be helping me!

I don't think people would mind jury duty too much in the PW world. It's only three days out of their lives.

You get paid if they keep you, so go for it.

You're required by law anyways.

I'm not planning on skipping. Already did this in NY when I lived there. I got paid $40 to transcribe jazz solos and read videogame magazines.

Sadly, Los Angeles county pays much less ($15, but nothing for day 1).

And now that I notice that you are also from California, I just told you something that you likely already know. I'll blame it on the fact that it's 5 AM.

I was under the impression that there was no jury in the series. If they are, then they're certainly not acting the part or very important...there's no mention of them anywhere.

Regardless, being a member of that jury would be fairly amusing. >>;

I would volunteer for jury duty if I lived in the PW universe and all the cases were like the ones in the game. =P

When they bring you up for questioning shout "GUILTY!" Then look around and go "oh, sorry... um... go ahead >.>"

That or just start with "Is he black?" But that will get you a lot more dirty looks :sawit:

Just walk in and ask the judge where the white man's bathroom is. Or tell the prosecutor that you can tell whether someone is guilty or not based on how far apart their eyes are.

Just show up and pretend to be the defense lawyer.

Shout "Objection!"

Ideally, time it so it's most hilarious, but regardless of when you shout it, you'll be out of Jury Duty in no time.

Epic win! :godot:

Well, they say you can always play the racist card, but that's not cool. If you want something PW-related... How about tossing a toupee at someone? That's fun. XD

Be like Angel Starr and say that all prosecutors are scum and worms and scummy worms. Or walk in playing Phoenix Wright and say "I've been studying for this!"

Walk in with the watch phones that :matt: has and be constantly calling other people to consult what they think DURING the trial.
