Do you have the book yet JapaneseGIRL? Would you say it's pretty definitive as far as giving all the characters their due? What about location shots and the black and white "crime" scenes as well? Are they included?

Hm, well that's too bad if there isn't anything new. But if there really is a clean version of that DS & Wii Magazine art, I'll be very happy! I love that art of Odoroki looking badass.

Just received my copy of the art book (I live in Hong Kong). It seems that there is not any new pictures on it (except the cover of Odoroki arc, like JapaneseGirl said) (just had a quick glance though). But it's good enough for me to be happy, hurray~

My copy came in today, and it's a splendidly gorgeous package indeed. Content-wise, it's entirely character driven; all of the major players in the series get anywhere between one to ten pages, depending on the relevance of the character. (Obviously, characters like Phoenix, Maya, and Edgeworth get maximum coverage, while others like April May or Payne scrape by with one or two.) All the pieces are finalized art; that is, there are no preliminary sketches or outtakes like you might find from the "Fanbook" series. The quality of the art itself is fantastic, and there's details you simply can't see on the GBA/DS screen that you can definitely appreciate here. For instance, a lot of these characters have lower halves to their bodies! LEGS!

There's also a lengthy collection of group portraits, such as those that adorned the GBA OSTs, as well as the end-of-case shots from PW1. As JapaneseGIRL states, however, there aren't any of the victim characters, the black and white crime photos, flashback shots, or any other scenes interpersed between cases. So, there are no pages dedicated to, say, Jack Hammer or Bruce Goodman, or that shot where Will Powers is happily eating his steak, or Maya's farewell shot at the train station. I was really hoping for those inclusion, but alas.

All in all, a healthy recommendation for Ace Attorney fans. It is a tad pricey, but if there's any series more deserving of an expensive collection, I can't think of it. Not Guilty!

I've just received my copy through the import store, paid a lot more than I should've but meh.

The page layouts in the GS4 book look great :D, tons better than the layouts in the GS 1-3 books. I did notice there were some sprite illustrations that were never used in the game, young Mia's "ACK" pose in the book comes to mind.

It's good enough as a character design bible, but I'd certainly love to see some of the painted background layouts though....
