But I don't get why this is still an issue. I mean, if you're feeling bitter, go look at the pairing poll. Two top pairings are het--one of them is your OTP--and the third most popular is f/f. To be honest, I think we're really beyond "the P/E man is keeping me doooown". I don't know why you feel that way, but it doesn't have a reflection in fandom reality.

first of all...stereotypes ARE in fact GOOD
they help us building a first impression on something we didnt even know
for example the stereotype of a land can help you when you are flying into that land for holiday
of course i dont mean stereotypes like all xyz are dumb or all french men are gay(but they are!)

SUMMARIES are good. GENERAL DESCRIPTIONS are good. Those help you legitimately build an opinion about something you knew nothing about. Stereotypes reduce a thing down to a few traits, usually negative or outright false, and imply that there is nothing more to the thing than those traits.

Anyway, I think - mainly in the third game - that Edgeworth comes the closest to actually having been stated in-game to be gay. Very obscurely so, and not in as many words, but...
(Well, he's second after Armstrong. But I'm not counting Armstrong, because he's annoyingly stereotyped and obvious.)
