Hey, what if their were Psycho Locks in PW1? You'd think the game might've been shorter, and maybe even easier. So, what would think if the magatama was next to Phoenix's Attorney badge in game 1?

Hmmm...

I think that the majority of the game would've stayed the same. Case 1-5 would change dramatically, as the magatama would've seen right through Lana's lies, and while Phoenix already knew/thought that Lana didn't do it, he would have at least uncovered the truth, or maybe even found :damon: to be a suspect earlier on in the case. The other cases would've changed a bit too, but things still followed the same formula: talk to someone, gather evidence, present evidence to aforementioned someones.

Yeah... Playing through the first one again, I noticed that there are sequences similar to Psyche-lock sequences, just to a lesser extent. Things like getting Oldbag to talk about Hammer's accident would be made into Psyche-locks, and the game itself would remail largely the same as it is now.

It would have been fun to see if the Magatama works when even the suspect thinks he's telling the truth (1-4)

Well, all the Magatama really does is speed up the process of getting people to talk, so it would pretty much be the same, just with slightly longer ivestigation sequences. Oh, and the exclamation point life system would have to be switched over to the green bar, too.

That's a good question, but I think the magatama only works when the person is hiding something. So I don't think it would have reacted, since Edgeworth couldn't have been hiding something he didn't know.

Point taken. BUT I still made him guilty for being an assassin-hiring doo-doo head. :edgeworth:

Yeah, i noticed that too. Same with getting April to talk about Redd, and getting Larry to spill it about Gourdie. And Lotta's "top secret information". But it wouldve given you a huge tipoff about Yogi, and wouldve seen through April saying that she was alone in her hotel room on the first day of 1-2.

Well...

Spoiler: 1-2 and 1-5
:phoenix: - Um... there are two glasses, was someone with you?
:april: - Um... Nope!
[BOOM! 2 Psyche-Locks! [Reasoning, and why there were two people]

:phoenix: - Did you visit the evidence room?
[BOOM! 4 Psyche-Locks!]
:jake: - Sorry, pardner, but no. I give my respects to it only once a month, or so.

[This one's possible, too, but didn't happen]
:phoenix: - Mr. Gant, do you think something may be strange with this... SL-9 connection? Like, something nasty is coming to the surface?
[BOOM! 5 Psyche-Locks]
:damon: - Ha ha ha! Wrighto, why would you think so?
:phoenix: (W-W-Wha!? No way... the chief of police himself, is hiding something?)
:ema: - Mr. Wright, what are we going to do now...?
:phoenix: - It looks like we will have to make him spill beans in court tommorow...
[Insert the "would you like to save the game" statement here]

Chances are that Phoenix would be crushed to death under the weight of an ass-load of locks, courtesy of :karma:

I don't think it would have worked from the Phoenix/Miles/what it means to be a lawyer POV.
