Welcome, first of all, and as I mentioned in the other thread - many things are explained in the rules threads of each subforum, so you should spend some time reading them. Your rank will automatically increase as you post, but make no mistake - spamming just to have your post count, ergo rank increased will not be tolerated (as it is the case in most forums actually) as far as I know. The rank is really just a gimmick to show who's been around for long / has posted a lot. It also marks Moderators, Admins and such, too.
