Misterious sprite in Gyakuten Saiban: Encyclopedia

I was taking a look to the Gyakuten Saiban: Encyclopedia, when while seeing Phoenix's sprites, I saw this one:

It seems that it belongs to the first game, but I don't remember when it takes place that scene... Can someone remember me when this happens? Or is it some kind of "easter egg"?
