I have to admit that I'm an absolute sucker for multilayer relationships like this one. The mixture between flirty spicy love, interesting characters and an awesome backstory makes this pairing and I totally love it.
It's even hard to explain well WHY exactly I love this pairing so much, but I do, I really really really do. It just matches my preferences so well!

Now for something more cute and fluffy.
I see this as a very tenderly developing relationship, which gives it a whole new feeling to it, especially if you compare it to my #1 pairing.
Here, both partners are more cute and shy about their feelings and have more of a brother/sister connection than a lover one.
In my book, it starts out as a one-sided thing (Phoenix has a crush on Maya), but with time and little steps towards each other, it is a very sweet and adorable couple I like a lot.

X Franziska and Edgeworth, as siblings/lovers/onesided love on either side
FOR REASONS I WILL NOW EXPLAIN.
1. Childhood: Franziska hardly had any childhood, most was probably spent studying with....WHO ELSE BUT EDGEWORTH? They had a good bit of time to spend together, even with an age gap of 6 years they would have become friends. He probably was Franziska's only friend then, and later on. A good bit of trust added there.
2. Personalities: They just click in my opinion. Franziska is a bit tempermental, and Edgeworth is more calm (most of the time). Besides, he'd probably be the only one who would wear the pants in a relationship with Franziska.
3. They're not siblings: Not once was it EVER stated that they were biological siblings. They have lived together for a long time as children. That is all. A normal misconseption.
4. The Airport Scene: Oh god, that sealed it. Franizksa is to prideful to let anyone other then Miles see her cry like that. She started bawling, and that must have symbolized SOMETHING. If not love, then at least trust.
So there you have it, my reasons.
