I just realized during 5-3 that Athena's last name is supposed to sound like "Psychs". :/

I didn't notice that until they outright pronounced it as such in a cutscene in 5-5. I thought it was pronounced "kikes" as in rhymes with Dykes.

Spoiler: 5-3 villain and twists
Why am I like the ONLY person who didn't suspect Means from the moment of his introduction? :sadshoe: Everyone talks about how obvious it was them. On the flip side I knew Robin was a girl from the character design alone.

I agree. Plus his... questionable morals which are evident from the beginning make it obvious that someone with said ideas HAS to be a villain.

Isn't it simply because AA was never very good at being subtle about its villains?

They're not really subtle, no. I'm still trying to figure out if that is a flaw or a charm. Is it just part of the way the series is or is it poor writing choices?

I think it's kind of a poor writing choice. There's no suspense or surprise when it's revealed, because you already knew beforehand and you just feel like staring at the characters and go, "Really? You can't figure it out who the bad guy is?"

It's mostly matter of known facts.
Spoiler: Case 3
He had an alibi, and they had no real reason to doubt it, until Hugh's testimony. You don't go accusing people of murder based on "I think it's a bad person"
And then it goes 180* in Case 5 with Phoenix saying how obvious it is that culprit is lying, despite the very real possibility they could be telling the truth.

Which employee area are you talking about? 1 or 2? 'Cause if it was 2, that is very obvious that it's outside. But with 1, I didn't notice it, either!

Maybe not so "obvious", and yet, I am somehow surprised to discover that the track usually referred to "Congratulations, Everyone", "おめでたい人びと" can be also translated as "Stupid/Naive/Happy People"

I went with "Naive People" and "More Naive People" for JFA. Still, too bad no amount of correction can change it now, seeing it is already widely accepted as that...

Maybe the writers were just inspired by the film version of Sweeney Todd

The idea was that he'd had this hideous trauma, from being sent away, locked away. That streak of white hair became the shock of that rage. It represented his rage over what had happened. - Johnny Depp

Or maybe he just has poliosis :kristoph:

As it was black before he went to prison I would think it was the stress (if I were him I would look twice as worn!) prematurely turning his hair white. It can happen to young people.
Yes, it would probably be more than just a spot, but, hell. Those bags under his eyes aren't normal bags. They have a very odd shape. Now, I have dark rings under my eyes but they aren't going across my face in a straight line. It just looks cooler, like having just a part of his hair turned white.
Now, I don't doubt the creators made him look that way because it would look cool, but I have a hard time to believe he would give a flying F about his hair looking groovy while (is this a spoiler? I'll tag it even so, DD)
Spoiler:
being in prison waiting for his execution.

I might be wrong, but I really didn't think that was just a theory, I actually thought it was an obvious thing. My sibling was less than impressed when I told them about my discovery and I actually had to safeguard myself ("I didn't remember that his hair was all black when he was younger!") to regain some of my lost pride. :godot:

So, ramble, ramble ramble ramble, what I'm trying to say is: I thought this was a fact. If it's not I apologize for being in the wrong thread.

Oh. I missed this. Something along those lines, yes, that was what I thought they ment. Trauma, shock, stress, possibly rage, all that jazz.

Edit: I was going to put it in the original post I wrote but fate made me double post instead. Pardon! :ron:

Hehehe. At 28? Believe it or not, there are people in the world who lose the color in their hair as soon as they turn 18. I've known a couple of folks who were half gray or mostly gray by the time they hit 30.

In Simon's case, it probably was due to stress/sorrow and Japan's fondness for weird hair.

I basically didn't notice that until they literally said it in the 3rd game. :meekins:

I'm replaying case 1-2, and they talked about Maya's Steel Samurai strap on her phone. The first time I played 1-2 I obviously hadn't played 1-3 so I never registered it.

And before I'd played any of the games, there was a Nintendo-magazine I read where there was a notice about Justice for all being released to DS, and in the next issue or so there was a review of Apollo Justice. Therefore I thought that all AA-games had the word "justice" in their titles, and I didn't get that Apollo Justice was the name of a person, so I thought it was the most stupid title ever, because "what the hell is 'apollo justice'?". :yogi:
