May be a reference to spaghetti westerns - westerns filmed in Italy, by Italian directors, starring mostly Italian actors. Especially since his fashion sense seems to be based on the Man With No Name from the Spaghetti Westerns that Clint Eastwood starred in.

There were quite a few that I agreed with in this thread actually - too many to quote.
My biggest gripe has got to be

Also, Mr. Hat is really lame....lamer than Klavier's prosecuting.Speaking of Klavier...

Iris - Most definitely annoyed me. I felt she was very flat and one-dimensional, as well as very contradictory. She completely gets steamrollered by Dahlia into helping the latter's schemes. just her overall personality grated on me too....I wanted to punch her through the screen a couple of times.
Godot - He's such a chauvinistic pig of a character...not only does he feel Phoenix should have protected Mia when there really was nothing he could have done, but he's also petty enough to put Maya's life in danger simply to satisfy his own guilty conscience. He's a very ego-centric character who we're supposed to feel sympathy for, but I always got pissed at.
Franziska - The redundant foolish speeches, the infantile behavior and the whipping...Jesus, the whipping.

He annoyed me during the case..but fandom made me tolerate him more i guess..*shrugs*
He is an interesting character..but he got annoying fast..but i can say i'm indifferent towards him to some extent.. Honestly,his helpless act was very unconvincing with every lie..you want to defend you or not?
I got sick of him laughing at me..alotta things about that case bugged me..
her fake act of concern got old fast..I think i actually could tolerate Wocky more..
need i say more?
She bugged me in the 1st game..but I grew to stand her towards case 2-4..

I mean, I understand why he would be likeable and such. He's a loyal sidekick and overall a good person. I just...find him boring and annoying at times. Everytime I hear "Hey, pal!" I'm like OH GOD NOT AGAIN. He's so predictable because you know what always follows: he gets angry at you and then says "What're you doing in a crime scene like this, pal?!" And the only useful thing he does for you in every case (excluding 2-4) is give you autopsy reports. And don't get me started about him giving testimony.

I completely agree. I hate how Maya is always so mean to Phoenix (pay for this, pay for that, pay me 500$ because of a poker game played under false pretenses, etc.)

Franziska was pretty annoying. Her constant whipping prolonged many interesting court cases and, well, it didn't really added to anything of the storyline besides ending JFA.
Luke Atmey again was more annoying rather than disliking him. However, his plan was one of the cleverest and set to exploit the law system in place.
Moe, jokes not funny, laughs at himself constantly. 'nuff said.
Anymore I guess I'll edit this post and add more.

I think what he meant was mostly "stfu and stop being a bitch, Franny"; him hating headstrong women makes no sense when taken into consideration the part where he dated Mia. As for him feeling he needed to protect Mia, I think that really just came from the whole "omg your girlfriend is dead" thing. I know that if I woke up from a coma and found out my boyfriend had been murdered, I'd want to blame SOMEONE; and in the end Godot realized that the only one he really blamed was himself. I thought he was a great character, simply because he was so...I dunno, lost? I'm not flaming or anything, just my observations >.>
Anyways, I don't really hate any of the characters, though Dahlia might be a bit of an exception; but she was one of the characters you LOVE to hate and therefore a really good villain. Yeah, I wanted to kick that psycho bitch in the teeth for the entire game but I loved every moment of it.
