I saw a bunch of Phoenix Wrong flashes and used the Mrdictionary objection meter thing all the time. When I read about it I knew it would be amazing. So I bought it, and am completely addicted. Naturally.

....I.... had a.... wonderfully written story of.... how I came to.... play Phoenix Wright.... and I.... BACKSPACED AND IT ALL JUST DISAPPEARED!!! *sob*

I'll post it later, but long story short:

I heard several mentions of it, saw it for sale on Amazon, bought it, and knew from the very first moment I played it that we were meant to be.

TsuriKato from the forums has been telling me how awesome it was for about a year now. I wasn't really interested in playing it at first, plus I didn't have a DS at the time, so I pretty much had no way to play it, nor did I actually think I'd get my hands on one because well... my parents are against me playing games period. She then showed me some Phoenix Wrong videos, which pushed my interests a little bit more. Then a month or two ago, my brother finally let me borrow his DS. I spotted a both Ace Attorney and Justice for All sitting there in his room. "Hey, it's that lawyer game that TsuriKato has been bugging me about. I suppose I could try it..." I thought.

And you should know how that ended up.

The story of how I got into the PW Series and what I'm doing to spread it now that I'm a fan goes a little something like this.:

*Points to Kyouya*

:kyouya: - *Begins a little background music to set the tone."

Way back in the summer of old '06 a little website began to get a lot of attention around the net. This site was Mr. Dictionary: the home of the most well known OBJECTION! generator. Being a forumite to several different forums, I quickly came across this wonderful location and fell in love with the exclamations. I began to research and read anything I could about this "Phoenix Wright" "Miles Edgeworth" "Manfred von Karma" and even "Winston Payne." Through the FAQ page on the OBJECTION Generator, I came here and began my careful research, wanting to know more, but in vain due to the lack of a DS I had.

Well school came around and I returned, with a new knack of annoying my friends by randomly shouting :objection: and slamming the nearest table: to the point that I could make my desk slam sound just like the one in the game. Well October came around and my dad wanted to go up to my grandmother's house for her birthday. Now to explain some things, we have to go back to March-April of '06. My father had developed vertigo, which caused him to get EXTREAMLY dizzy on long drive and on roads with bad shoulders, due to this we had to take a Greyhound Bus to the town we go to for tradition each Easter, because my grandma on my mother's side helped start the Sunrise Service. Anyway: After this, I came to the resolve that NOTHING would get me on a Greyhound again. In October my dad's vertigo was still not cured, so we had to take the bus and he wouldn't take no for an answer, but I wouldn't take yes for an answer. He offered to pay off the rest of the cost left for a Wii, since this was before I missed the Ninja Reserve Date. I told him that I was planning to have enough money by then anyway, and by the time I found one in January, I did, so I asked him for a DS, two games, and the books for both games, or an extra game if we couldn't find the books. I knew this was my chance to get PW and some of the other DS games I wanted, like Megaman ZX and Mario and Luigi: Partners in time, both of which we found, but I held off getting a third game and couldn't find the books to the games I had, so I began to search.

After a week, and searching about 6 stores in my general area, a lucked upon a Rhino Games with one copy left. I bought it and had it beat in three days. The only other game I beat in that amount of time was Gemfire for the NES. Anyway, I began to replay through it for fun and decided to join the Court Records Forum, where I could keep up to date on future games to find out that there were two more games in the series. While my fandom grew, I kept pressuring my friends at school to get into Phoenix Wright and FINALLY got one of my friends to borrow the first game from me. I had to force her to play it, and by the time she got into it, she had just enough time to become hooked when Diamond and Pearl came out.

Now that I've played through AA and JFA, I'm working on my own set of fan cases using my set of fan characters, with a couple cameos, to be made on one of the several emerging case makers that I've seen. The two people I've told the case ideas to think they're rather good, and one of them said my characters' background were good enough that they asked for help with their character. My main hope is that my fan cases become a popular enough thing on the Internet that it causes more people to get into PW, as well as to have fun with something based off my ideas.

If anyone wants to hear about or help with my fan case ideas, PM me. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go rest my fingers.

An old friend of mine got me into the series.
When I first heard of it from her older brother, I thought for some of the oddest reason that it was an old Atari game.

Then I saw it when I was at my friends house and I asked her if I could play it.
So yup.... I was a nut ever since then.

Here is my discovery and story.

Back then in 2002, I was getting bored as always just browsing around the internet and I went to CAPCOM'S official site to see what kind of fighting games they have. Unfortunately, nothing was interesting...however, I went to the JAPANESE SITE and randomly, I saw a picture of Phoenix, Egdeworth, Maya, Mia and Franziska in the background. (GYAKUTEN SAIBAN 2) I was very curious to know what kind of CAPCOM GAME this is and I randomly view the site (Back then, I had no idea what the game was called...until 2005 which everyone knows that game is called PHOENIX WRIGHT when it was first released in the USA) and viewed its contents. I was randomly viewing the characters and they had their names in Japanese-English text. I was like, "that woman has green hair" (Refering to Franziska) and I saw the next character and said to myself "Gee, that dude's hair looks like Jin Kazama!" (Refering to Phoenix) and endlessly went on viewing the site. I noticed at the top, the game was only released for the GAME BOY ADVANCE and I was like, "This game looks fun...I want to play it badly!!"

Then...in 2005, when I heard the news about this DRAMA SIM GAME (I kind of refered to it) I read a review and this game is coming to the USA for the first time!! PHOENIX WRIGHT...at first, it sounded a little funny when I read the title but it seemed VERY INTERESTING to play it. Now today at the year of 2007 (Despite lots of crappy games at this year now) I have a huge interest of PHOENIX WRIGHT, and plan to collect all the series. (I have Part I and II, but despite my weirdness I DON'T HAVE A NINTENDO DS . SERIOUSLY.)

And that's my discovery! :odoroki:

Law Student at Harvard, just so happened to be thumbing through the April 2006 issue of GQ when I saw an ad for a game called "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All". I thought, "A lawyer game?! It better be sweet!" So, I ended up buying a DS just for this game, and played through it in a couple days, then went back and bought the previous game, and everything made more sense.

After I returned from my Spring Break in Cancun (Phoenix Wright in the day, Partying at night... can't beat that!!) I had a mock trial for my midterm. Totally did the Phoenix Wright objection with finger. Got an A.

Thank you Phoenix Wright. I plan on doing it in the real courtroom soon!

Long story short, I discovered the series through word of mouth.

On the internet.

I saw fanart and fan flashes and all that stuff. What did it for me was a flash parody (which wasn't a Phoenix Wrong, by the way). I became curious as to what the game was about, so I looked it up on Wikipedia.

And I quickly became caught in the PW Fandom's web. I don't mind one bit. <3
Thank you for flying Phoenix Wright. We hope you have a nice day.

Weeeell...

Zizzo told me (having not actually played it herself) that it was an awesome game - especially because you could yell "Objection!" into the DS mic - right after my birthday when I had lots of money and wanted something new to play... and I've never looked back :D

One day, I heard from the internet about this game about lawyers. I laughed at it and went along my merry way....

Until late last year or early this year, when my friend showed me a vectored picture of GS3 Edgeworth that she made. I vaguely remembered him as "that guy from that lawyer game" and she insisted that I play it. I told her I would, and I became more curious about the game. A week or two later she let me borrow PW:AA, and I finished the first 2 cases in one day, and took the rest of the week to finish cases 3 through 5. I instantly FELL IN LOVE. I bought JFA and let my friend borrow it, and I'm now (im)patiently waiting for Trials and Tribulations! <33

I was skeptical about the game at first ("how fun can a game about lawyers be? :yuusaku: ") but I knew it was great once I started to play. The plot was awesome, the characters were so deep (I wanted to give poor Edgeworth a hug in 1-4 and I felt like crying in 2-4), and there was just so much drama! I now swear at my poor innocent DS a whole lot more and I even apologized to it while playing 2-4.

So, to sum it all up, Phoenix Wright=LOVE <3

Me and a buddy of mine were at Target, and by the videogame counter, there was this free handout of upcoming games. In it, was Phoenix Wright.

I had pretty much forgot about it 'til X-mas time, when I walked into an EB's. There was one copy left, and I bought it.

My husband received it as a gift for Christmas 2005-he'd read about it somewhere and thought the game would be interesting to try out-and I started playing it in January 2006. I was instantly hooked. :)
Both my husband and myself are big fans of Phoenix Wright and teamed up to go through Rise From The Ashes. That was fun! :)

Brace yourselves for a long and boring tale...
Spoiler: The Beginning
My brother was aching to buy a game called Phoenix Wright where you play as a lawyer.I read a preview in a nintendo mag but it didn't look interesting.A couple of weeks after it came out in the UK, he still hadn't got it so I bought it to try it out. Then (even though I was crap at it at first), I did start to get interested. Then there was a long period of 2 months to play again because of my brother. Finally, he finished Rise From The Ashes and I started to play it again and again and again(I was better at it after the 2 month period). Then I heard about JFA and my brother said there was an english language option so he was going to get that off play asia. When it arrived he too like me was hooked.I actually finshed it for him because he was stuck at one point and I played through JFA again. Now that I know that GS3 DS also has an english language option I'll be getting it my brother will probably get GS4 if it gets translated.ROLL ON AUGUST!

I got into it a couple of months after Ace Attorney came out. A friend kept going on about it to the point where I had to check it out. I bought the game and loved it, and I am now eagerly anticipating the release of PW T&T in the UK.

When my brother was still living with us, he had this pile of video games next to his bed. In one pile was the games for the gamecube, in another were the ones for the ps2, and finally the ones in the DS pile. He had gotten back from going to the mall where he occasionally picks up new games. At the top of the ds game stack, I noticed this new game I had never seen. I picked it up, and read about it. Initially I thought "A game about being a lawyer? How lame" Then I asked my brother why he had gotten it, and he said because he had heard it was a pretty good game (he's a total game faqs forum addicts)
Hence, curiosity struck me, and I played through the first case of the first game. From the moment I scrolled through the text, I new what my new obsession would be. I had gotten to case two before I was heart broken that my brother wanted the game back to play for himself. After that, I continually bugged him about when I could play it again. During the next two months, I played through the first game about 8 times, never getting bored with it. :edgy: I'm still playing through the second game over and over again.

Well let's see, I am a huge fan of Nintendo games and so I regurly get the latest issues of the offical Nintendo magazine, Nintendo Power. In an old, old issue... there was a small article about PW:AA. And I thought "Wow, this might be fun." But I never did get a chance to buy it.

Then I found a PW fansite, called "Objection!" where people can type a message, then see a really cool animation of a PW character saying your message. I showed that to my friend, Sonictails1, and I guess that was how he got into it.

After he bought the two games, he began telling me more about it which helped my interest boost. Then he introduced me to this site and that's when my interest sky-rocketed. XD I only just got PW:AA, after being lucky for actually find it for sale, and I'm still really interested in it.

Yeah, that is my story. Oh and the fanfictions on fanfiction.net also really helped too. :P

I used to go to a forum called Gaiaonline.com, where you get to dress up these little avatars. There was a regular who dressed up his avatar like Phoenix and included a Phoenix Wright animation in each of his posts. I became very curious so I did some research on PW and became interested in buying the games. Once I started playing them... It became a great passion for me. :redd:

Hm... *Reflects*

Well, I'd first heard of it a long time ago, around its release. I used to be a lurker on GameFAQs, because I was too young to join. Some people were almost whoring out the gam, so I decided to look into it. That year's Christmas (I had gotten my first and main account by then), I had asked for it. Magicallly, my parents managed to find it somewhere. And, as I had expected, I enjoyed the game very much and became an Edgey fanboy after case 4. I took a month to beat case 5, though. X_X

Last summer-ish I found out about it on 4chan. I am still amazed that the hellhole of the internet introduced me to something so wonderful. I started saving a bunch of porn and stuff and was obsessed with it for a few months before I got the game. Eventually, I got a DS just so I could play it, and I have been truly in love with it ever since.

HEARTWARMING TALE.

My brother is a lawyer, and he actually heard about PW:AA either before or shortly after it was released in the U.S. However, he didn't get a DS until I bought one for him as a gift, and by then it was a hard-to-find game. He ended up buying it on eBay, but got bored with it and lent it to me last September.

I still haven't given it back. I told him I'm not going to, and he seemed okay with that. :edgy:

Im a devoted Newgrounds.com member, and one day I saw a frontpage flash by this guy "Ashfordpride" called phoenix wrong..

Well i didn't think much of it for a few weeks but then a bunch more came out and there was a whole page dedicated to phoenix wright parodies..

I watched this one guy's poorly made flash (I didn't have flash at the time so i didn't know what was good or not yet.)
and i was obsessed..

I looked it up all over the internet and I eventually HAD to have it. It was very rare, none of the shops around my area, or for miles, had any PW..so i eventually got PW:JFA off the internet and found AA miraculously on ebay..

And since then..since I have nothing better to study..Ive decided to devote the next 10 years of my life to becoming an attorney. Can't wait to Object for real..

(Of course i know that objecting that much will get me kicked out..im not DUMB...lol..oh yeah can't say lol in court either..)

Phoenix Wrong, sometime last September. I didn't know who all the characters were, but I thought they were pretty funny. I didn't realize you didn't get the coffee drinking guy until the third game and that wasn't until after I joined this site.

Bought a DS Lite on a whim, was recommended PW by a guy at work along with Hotel Dusk and Lost in Blue.

Got PW:JFA and then later PW:AA in sales and was hooked from the minute I first put 'em in the DS.

Rivetting stuff and brilliantly written stories/characters etc. That was it. Instant fangirl :)

My younger brother bought a DS lite after selling his PSP and told me about this game.. I was intrigued by the concept, 'cause seriously... a game where you play a lawyer?! I've never heard of such a thing so I decided to give it a chance. I fell in love with the game immediately and have been obsessed ever since. This was around February of this year

My interest arose through a combination of internet word-of-mouth and... VGCats. :P Everyone who owned a DS seemed to saying "buy this game!"

I didn't get a DS until last year, and I didn't get PW until Christmas, and I didn't open the game until this May. D: That was actually a smart move, because at that point school was almost over and once I got to case 4, I couldn't put the blasted thing down.

I'll be honest. I was interested in it firstly because of the Objection! flashes. But after reading up on it, it seemed really cool to play so I decided to get it. Unfortunately that was about the time the first game had limited production (I can see why) so I got JFA first.
