At first, i thought Iris was Dahlia. I was like WHAT THE HAY!!! I closed my DS but decided to check who was the girl who looks like Dahlia and i was glad it was someone else.

On another note. I think i will start the Iris Mafia (still might try finding another name that's similar though), at least on here. There would be no bashing of other characters or pairings though. The only things it would do would be to have fun.

Yay for pretty Iris pictures. ^_^ Always a positive. Sadly, I haven't had much time to look for new art recently myself and the sites I check regularly don't update often, so I only have one picture to contribute this time and it's not really pairing related. It's a really pretty one though. :)

Now, let's see if we can get this thread back on topic as we seem to have strayed a bit. So, I think this question may have been broached before, but I think it's a decent one and might spark some discussion. What first drew you to the pairing?

For me, it was how the two of them always seemed to put the other's best interests first.

Iris gives up her hood to Phoenix to protect him rather then keeping it with her for her own protection. ("It has the power to protect you from evil spirits." Important protection considering the heavy spiritual aspect of this case and what was going to happen that night. She could have kept for herself, but he was more important to her so she gave it to him without hesitation). She also thinks of him first while in the detention center even though her life is on the line for (supposedly :P) murdering Elise, but she still refuses to discuss anything else until she finds out if Phoenix is okay. There's more, but I don't want to rant so I'll move on to Phoenix.

Phoenix, despite being very sick, desperately wants to help Iris, so much so that he sends Edgeworth to her while he really can't get up (so that Iris won't be convicted at the start) and later drags himself out of the hospital before he is truly well (what was his fever at the time? <_<) to protect her. Besides, he risks Pearl's rage in visiting her while she's in prison and... when he's caught gazing at her a bit too long. :P I'll stop there because I still don't want to rant, so I won't go on more here. I mostly wanted to give a couple examples of what I meant.

Their attitude and behavior towards one another impressed and endeared the pairing to me. Then "I always believed in you" clinched the deal for me.

Hello, it's nice to finally meet you Mia_Fey. :D You really contributed a lot to this topic to keep it alive.

Let's see... What drew me to this pairing...?

I guess it's the whole backstory between the two. How they came together because of Dahlia wanting to get the bottled necklace back, and Iris taking her place out of love and the fact that she hoped to save her sister. How they broke up because of Dahlia almost poisoned Phoenix and killing Doug Swallow after 6 months. How they got back together 6 years later by chance just because Phoenix hangs out with 2 spirit mediums and the fact that Sister Bikini insisted in being in a magazine (Oh! Cult!) which led to Phoenix seeing it. Well, also because of Morgan Fey and her evil plan to kill Maya using Dahlia. If not her, Pearl would never suggest on going to Hazakura Temple.

I find it amazing how their relationship went though so much, and they still really believe and love each other. It's such a beautiful love story, but horrifying at the same time.

Plus, all the interaction between was cute in 3-5. And I do agree with Mia_Fey that both Iris and Phoenix think about the other first before thinking about themselves. I would be sad if they never got together after 3-5 after they've been through so much trouble. But oh well. Don't want to let PhoenixXanyone shippers to get mad. :phoenix:

Not really sure how i became attracted to the pairing. I guess as i saw 3-5 unfold (i watched the whole case on Youtube the 1st time), it just seemed like Iris was perfect for Nick. It was obvious she still loved him, so i guess that's my reason for liking it (i'm sure there's other reasons but i can't think about them right now).

What drew me to the couple was probably ever since Iris told Phoenix the truht about the "Dahlia" he dated. Also how she how she kept pleading for Dahlia not to kill him and by doing so devoted six months of her time of trying to get it back safely, in wich she actually fell in love with phoenix. what also drew me to them is that they always put eachothers lives first and then their own

The quality is way better than on the other.
The question is what will happen next. The song is a Universal one so at the least it'll get ads put on it and not be avalable in some places (it hasn't yet). I'll keep the one on bestonvideo up just in case.
Of course that same song has been uploaded over a dozen times within the last month or so and don't have ads so who knows.

Well, I'm not sure about Mia/Diego... I don't see any love from Mia to Diego, but whatever. And is Gumshoe and Maggey canon?

Anyway, I just like to think Feenris is canon overall. I can't see them loving any person, but that doesn't mean they will get together after all they've been through. *sniffs* Oh well. Capcom just doesn't want to lose fans if they really did get them together, and I can't blame them. That's what fanworks are for. :keiko:

Same here. There is already a tiny reference for Maya, why not for Iris? As long as she is mentioned, my inner fan-girl will be happy. That's one of the many reasons I'm waiting for GS5, impatiently. *taps foot*

It's has been some time since I posted here... didn't it? (My account is Krystalwitch, but I lost the password ¬¬)

.... what to say...? It's just impressive how they love each other. Just what you said before, it's just lovely X3 I loved this pairing since I knew that Iris was dating Phoenix and not Dahlia (and I cried in that scene XD I have to watch it again). It's an almost-canon pairing, I truuuuly want to see them together, or at least a little reference to them.

Phoenix is amazing (well, he's the main character). He's caring and a truly good-person, able to give his life to save his friends. But what proves that she still loved "Dahlia", is that he went to Hazakura and not called the police to say there was a fugitive =).

And Iris is an overrated character. She's a strong and lovely woman, also caring and capable to give his life for the one she loves. (I don't understand why she's hated that much ¬¬)

And I don't know what more I can say, give ideas please ^^

I think this song is perfect for Phoenix x Iris. I think it sort of describes Iris's point of view. Every time I listen to this song I think of Iris x Phoenix. Especially during the 3-1 and 3-5.

One of my favorite Feenie x Iris fics involved the whole Fey clan. It was Pearl's birthday and so her family, including Phoenix and Iris of course, came to her party. It was more of a humor than romance fic, though, because Maya and Iris attacked Phoenix with exploding cake at one point.
But it did have some really sweet moments, like when Iris was cleaning Phoenix up and Pearl called her "Miss Iris." It's been a while, though, and I can't remember where I read it unfortunately.

Besides that, I love fics where Iris and Phoenix meet up again after she gets out of prison. Gotta say, though, that I've always been a bit :beef:

when it comes to more explicit fics. I feel like a voyeur. :bellboy:

Hard to get Iris's hair exact since there's no side view of her.
