Alita Tiala.
Even though she was basically Dahlia Hawthorne II in a less extreme form, what actually happened to her was incredibly cruel. Even though it's never mentioned, it's basically self-defense and she shouldn't get the death penalty for it. She might have just wanted Wocky's money, but what the doctor did to her justifies everything she did, if you ask me.

EDIT: Sorry for the bump, I forgot to check the timestamp of the last post >_<
It's not too late, though.

Gant, for obvious reasons. I sensed that he was once a detective that truly cared about his job, but then was morally corrupted for some reason. I still think he had to have had some remorse for killing the people that he did, and in the end, his arrogance brought him down.

Godot, because he was too much of a badass, and the trials and tribulations (no pun intended), that he went through, all basically failed, but I guess, that in the end, he knew he was either going to die from complications of his illness.

Ini Miney, betrayed, and she was actually pretty hot.

Alita Tiala, betrayed, nearly killed, although her own agenda was very callous.

Godot, Gant and Kristoph. The last two, only because they are two of my favourite characters, so I would have liked to have them stick around a bit longer.

I actually hope Kristoph appears again. Maybe in the obligatory flashback case? Even though I hate his guts for what he did, he's a pretty interesting character that I wish we could see more of.

Dee Vasquez. She had a tough life, and she wasn't just as selfish as you might think and I do suppose that it is still unknown if what she did was an accident or not. There still is a possibility.

Edit: Whoops scratch that, I forgot GK talk doesn't go in here.

I guess Acro bugged me a bit, though him wanting to get revenge on Regina seemed a bit unbelievable. She was just too innocent, pure, and clearly had no bad intentions. Still Acro wasn't a bad person either, and he did show remorse for what he did.

Well, we have no idea what happens to people who are found guilty of murder, in the AJ timeline, seeing as how 7 years have passed, but then again, this applies to someone who is found guilty of murder once; and we all know Kristoph has done it twice, and attempted at a third.

Gant. Sure, he may be a rapist, but a murderer? Nah. Plus, he's a super saiyan. :zap: I'm joking, of course.
On a more serious note, I actually really liked him as a character. Probably one of the main reasons that I like the case so much.

I really didn't want Kristoph to be guilty because I wanted to see more of him. And he's pretty.

PW: AA: :gant: Gant, he seemed like a generally nice guy/boss... it was sad to see him be a villain... (although he was pretty awesome as one!)
JFA: :acro: Acro... I mean seriously, his brother basically was killed by Regina...
T&T :chinami: ... nah just kidding. :godot: Godot, well he saved Maya from getting killed and foiled Morgan's plan... plus he had such a tragic past.
AJ: :garyuu: Gavin because, well, we never got to see what he was like much during his time with Apollo, he was nice (somewhat) and looked really interesting.

When
Spoiler:
Shih-Na
first started being accused in AAI, I didn't want her to be guilty. Then I found out she was
Spoiler:
Calisto
, and it was awesome, so now I'm glad she was guilty.

I was a little disappointed when
Spoiler:
Matt and Ron
turned out to be guilty, but that made for some epic plot twists, so it was worth it.

It made me sad that
Spoiler:
Phoenix forged evidence in 4-1. Sure, he was just making a replica of something he had already seen that no one would have believed he saw, and he had to do it, but it still felt worse than what he did to Furio with the medicine bottle. Strangely, it even felt worse than when he burgled the office of the chief of police and broke into his safe.

I was a little sad when
Spoiler:
Tyrell Badd
turned out to be Edgeworth's office burglar, but it made perfect sense that the culprit was morally gray enough to
Spoiler:
point a gun at Edgeworth, which Kay wouldn't do, but not shoot like Calisto would have.

I don't care about Gant, he can burn in hell for all I care :chinami: but......... INI! :sadshoe: I also felt really sorry for Acro. But still he shouldn't have tried to kill Regina.
EDIT: Actually, a lot of the murderers in the series I really didn't want to see go behind bars. Like CALISTO! I LOVE HER!!!

No, really. I didn't want Godot, Atmey, Badd and Acro to be guilty, but when Cammy was, for some boobs reason, it really stung. It bothers me every time I replay the case.

Well if it makes you feel any better, remember he was on trial for murder, and would had likely gotten life or the death penalty if he was found guilty. He also didn't officially submit it as evidence, but rather just showed it to Kristoph to get a reaction out of him, he even took full responsibility for the card so Apollo wouldn't get in trouble with it. Also, keep in mind if he hadn't done what he did, then Kristoph would had made Apollo go along with framing Olga Orly for the murder, and an innocent person being hauled off would had been much worse then Phoenix doing what he did.

As for someone I wish didn't end up being guilty...

Spoiler:
I'd have to say Shih-na. I liked her overall character design, and how she worked with Lang as basically his secretary, especially when they did synchronized poses, like removing their sunglasses or doing that awesome double point. Personally I felt it was a waste of a perfectly good character.

He would've probably been almost as awesome as Detective Gumshoe, and who says we can't have two detective protagonists.
