True. This is a "Whodunnit and How?" kind've series! I probably replayed AA 10 + times, and JFA 7 + times! T&T, I'm on my third "lap" since I was busy looking for quotes.

Hell, I just replayed Rise from the Ashes again and I forgot how to make blue badger from the vase but not nearly as long this time.

Yeah, she probably already visited with her the night before when she died.

You think that's irritating? Evidently you've never played Famicom Detective Club Part II. Everyone in the game practically worships one of the characters in it.

Case 3-3 also kinda made me angry. Towards the end, it started to seem a lot like 1-2. (Furio and Redd's office sure look alike, for one thing...)

Sal, Dr. Hotti, and Ben's pervertness.
Oldbag, Lotta and Wesley Stickler's rants.
Wocky's karate sprite.
Zak angered me by not telling Phoenix about the diary page and his lack of remorse about Phoenix's badge being stripped.
Magnifi angered me for hiding the truth about Thalassa and the whole "come to my hospital room and shoot one shot in the forehead" thing.
Spark Brushel.... well he angered me in general, but the "end quote" and his perciving habit was the worst of them all.

They way they handled it compleatly dwarfed Apollo's role and caused many fans to not accept him as the new character.

That there was absolutely no explanation for what happened to Miles in AJ.

(Spoiler for GS3 in particular...)
Spoiler:
Seriously, it's plausible that just about everyone else could have moved on, but with what we knew about Edgeworth in the PW era, he's got an arseload of issues, plus he's not above being suicidal. (I believe he didn't fake his own death and that he had every intention to kill himself. There are subtle hints through the game that suggest he's still twitchy about suicide... and Franziska openly taunts him about it in 3-5.) All they need have done was throw in an offhand line about Edgeworth having gone overseas to work or something, and I'd have been FINE with it. But... no.

Just... don't DO that, Capcom. If there was no indication of him appearing again, I'd have suspected the worst. And probably cried. Lots.

I liked Mia and all, but I was terribly bothered by how she was always Phoenix's crutch, even when he honestly didn't need her. He's my favorite character and I like to imagine that he has more than 24 brain cells.
Also.
I play Phoenix Wright for the mystery, and I don't appreciate side characters having to spell everything out for me. D8

I agree with Phoenix getting help when he really didn't need it.
But it still wasn't as bad as Apollo's "help". I really didn't have a problem with Apollo having Kristoph, Phoenix, Trucy, or Ema helping him. But Klavier is a different story. Even though Phoenix got a lot of help, at least Phoenix didn't have the PROSECUTOR helping him all the time. Between this and Phoenix/Trucy's deliberate vagueness, which by the way also angered me to a lesser extent, it made Apollo look like one of the most incompentent attorneys ever.

Also, everyone hitting Phoenix all the time angered me. Mainly talking about Lawyer Nick as AJNick and YoungNick were annoying. But Lawyer Nick was abused so many times, you could call him Phoenix Wright: Abused Attorney.

Though there are times when Phoenix didn't recieve help that angered me also. Mainly when someone was being difficult who really shouldn't.
Edgeworth in 1-4 (First day only)
Lana in 1-5.
Mia trying to protect Morgan in 2-2
Larry in 3-2 and 3-5
Iris in 3-5.
Even though some of the above had their reasons, it still angered me. Mia and Larry are probably the worst of the above because you didn't expect them to not help you. Though Morgan is Mia's aunt, she tried to kill Maya. Larry was so bad in T&T that he was on par with Wendy Oldbag/Lotta Hart in terms of annoyance. He wasn't that bad in PW1, I wanted to choke him Homer Simpson style him by the end of T&T.

A lot of stuff about AJ:AA pissed me off.

1) Story lines that made NO SENSE.

2) Constant, constant flashbacks to scenes I JUST SAW.

3) Annoying or bland characters.

4) Boring mini games.

As for Ace Attorney in general, it was basically just moments that made me feel like my intelligence was just insulted. PLEASE TO BE NOT SPELLING EVERYTHING OUT FOR ME, KTHNX.

As for characters... Godot and Klavier. Godot was a sexist douche, and Klavier was just boring and annoying.

I was also irked during moments when Maya went overboard with the whining, and when Edgeworth was a jerk to Gumshoe. I was probably only irked because I really liked Maya and Edgeworth, so when they act like wankers, it makes me want to go "Come on, guys! Why you do this?".

Yeah, that is annoying. I don't think anyone playing any AA game would have such a terrible memory that they felt they HAD to keep showing the scenes again.

That concert video pissed me off as well. Why did it have to be played so many times?

I also agree about Moe's theme. I like most of the music, but Moe's theme was far too annoying.

While I can deal with most of the plot holes, 4-3's and 2-3's had way too many of them.

Well, technically the only case he did on his own he got his badge ripped off him. :yogi:
And thus, the legendary Phoenix Wright is a sham.

Quote:

It was really pretty annoying when it was little Trucy who was holding his hand all the way through the trial. (4-2, specifically) It made me want to yell IT'S OKAY TRUCY I THINK I CAN SEE THIS GLARING CONTRADICTION ON MY OWN, THANKS. Although it struck me that Apollo needs more help than Phoenix because of a character flaw, that he can't seem to sit and think things through. He is pretty young after all, and Klavier's quite a nice guy and all, even if it is frustrating.

Quote:
That there was absolutely no explanation for what happened to Miles in AJ.
Hmm, things like that bothered me at first, but at the end of the day Apollo Justice is supposed to be the start of a new arc. It's a shame because just including Phoenix to suffocation level ended up wrecking Apollo's role in the game, I prefer him to Phoenix and I think he's a lot funnier, and all the new mains were very likeable too. Just imagine what a crowded mess it would be if all the other characters were mentioned and included, AJ would be empty because there'd be no room for a storyline. And we can safely assume that everyone would be fine and dandy with all the old mains anyway, it's not like T&T ended with a sad note or something. Some don't even give AJ a chance just because it's not PW. :sadshoe:

Klavier's obsession with the small window was irritating, Lotta Hart's constant reappearances, and that godawful flashback of "Siren, can't see etc" which took forever. And glaring contradictions with amazing evidence that you can't present until the right time and whatnot, but there's nothing that makes me truly angry. I yelled at Klavier a lot but that was all part of the fun. :edgy:
Also I've been playing the first Ace Attorney and it bugs me how dull the graphics are in comparison to the newer games. Not that it's really the game's fault for improving, it's just a pet peeve.

Franziska appearing in 3-5. She had no purpose to be there, even following Miles just to beat him in the courtroom was a large stretch. Also Manfred Von Karma being mentioned. Even the DL-6 flashback, while important considering Miles and that earthquake was too stretched.

Edgeworth, though? The last time he disappeared without explanation, it looked like he'd offed himself. And he'd been through significant shame and trauma in 3-5, too.

But if AJ really was a new beginning, including Phoenix was a bad idea. (And I liked seeing him there, really.) I think they handled it brilliantly, to be honest-- they'd set themselves a hard task but pulled it off well-- but all they needed do was make one passing reference to Edgeworth and I'd have been a bit happier. It's not that I hadn't come to care about Maya and Pearls and everyone else in PW-- it's just that they weren't the disappearing suicidal types.

And yeah: I'll agree with the last bit-- a friend can testify that during Turnabout Corner, I was very WTF? and unamused and unimpressed with AJ initially. It looked like change and cute for the sake of change and cute. Midway through that case, I was blown away because seriously, just wow. The way they tied things together and its own little mysteries and plots were amazing. I didn't expect to, either, but I became a serious Kristoph Gavin fangirl, too. Not to mention-- you're right-- some of the characters are awesome. I have mad love for Little Plum and Daryan and Trucy. :)

You got all that from a square bracket?
