I dreamed GK2 had been released. There were extended scenes and Edgeworth had a new VA for the NA release. And the VA was fuck-awful. Like, think of his "Take that!" voice, replicate it into every part of his speech and then multiply the snottiness by like 1000. It was seriously that awful.

Man, I hope I'm not jinxing GK2. srsly.

Anyway, he was in a room investigating something, then some unknown ladies came in so he had to hide. He did so in an elevator type room. Suddenly the ladies, who looked like nurses, started wielding guns and shooting at each other. This, for some reason, scared the shit out of Edgeworth and he cowered in the elevator type room. Suddenly, there was a lot of shaking (could have been from the women shooting at each other, but who knows). I remember rolling my eyes because I was like "oh boy, here comes THIS plot device again!" As the ladies kept firing, Edgeworth kept asking himself questions about what he should do.

I guess Edgeworth fainted, but then the next scene, he was in the room with the ladies. They were shooting at him, not to kill him, but to test his skills. Apparently, sometime between GK1 and GK2, someone had cut off Edgeworth's right hand and replaced it with with a small automatic gun, and every time someone fired off another gun, it would fire off in response, completely out of Edgeworth's control. Somehow, the ammo from his gun would completely vaporize any ammo from anyone else's gun.

Later, he and the ladies were talking in another room, lounging on a couch. The subject had drifted to something about his sexuality, and how it was a shock to see him with a woman, because he apparently had an ex-girlfriend somewhere. To which Edgeworth replied in the most fuckobnoxiously snotty voice that it should be no surprise. All I could think about is how I just wanted to punch the shit out of the voice actor.

I was Iris, during her stay in prison after T&T. Phoenix, Maya, and Pearl came to visit me often, and that made me happy, but I was convinced that Dahlia's ghost was haunting me. Every time I looked in the mirror I thought it was Dahlia, instead of me, before reassuring myself that it was actually me... I guess because we looked the same. I didn't want to look like Dahlia, but I also felt like she would come get me and hurt me if I changed my hair to a different hairstyle. My hair was black because I'd dyed it black after Dahlia's death and kept doing that, but naturally I had red hair like Dahlia. I wasn't allowed to have hair dye in prison so my red roots were growing out gradually. I felt like the more red was in my hair, the more Dahlia would be able to hurt me or find me. I was paranoid and the only time I felt completely safe was when either Phoenix or Maya were near me. Maya because she was the master of Kurain, and Phoenix because I was in love with him...

I confessed some of these fears about Dahlia to Maya and she reassured me that I was okay. However, I started to feel like I was totally safe, but only because I was in prison. So, I ended up dreading when my prison term would be up, convinced that if I left the prison, Dahlia would be able to get me. Unfortunately, my prison term eventually ended. I was afraid, and I confessed this to Maya also... But, I didn't want to tell her about the reason (that I was scared of Dahlia), so I told her that I just didn't know what I was going to do with my life after prison, and that I'd thought about going back to Hazakura Temple, but didn't feel like I wanted to. Maya said that I could come live in Kurain, if I wanted, and so I took the chance. I was sure I would be safe in Kurain if I lived near Maya.

A few months later, I was still living in Kurain and generally helping out with the business of the village. One day, Phoenix came to the village. This was after he had lost his badge; Trucy was with him. I think Phoenix & I went for a walk or something, and he mentioned something that had happened I turned around and kissed him, and I said "Feenie..." Then he pushed me away and said something like "I'm sorry, Iris... I just can't do this..." I asked him if he loved me, and he told me that he was sorry again, that he could only think of me as a good friend, because there was another person he was in love with. I was going to ask him who it was, but then I felt like I'd rather not know. He apologized again, and I said that really, it was fine, I understood. Then I turned ran away, trying not to cry. I didn't look back.

After I stopped running, I wound up in a field of flowers on a hill. I realized suddenly that I couldn't see the village and had no idea where I was or how to get back. I curled up in a ball among the flowers and started crying, thinking about Phoenix and remembering the times when we were together, back when I pretended to be Dahlia, and then I thought of how he'd said "You really are the woman I thought you were". I wanted to go after him or something, and I kept thinking that I must have done something wrong, and wondering who it was that Phoenix loved, and why I couldn't be as good as that person for him. Finally, I wiped off my tears and looked up. The sun was going down, and the whole meadow looked pink against the sky.

All around me there were these white butterflies fluttering - they hadn't been there when I first arrived - and I felt incredibly frightened and scared along with this feeling of impending dread as they flew through the air. I tried to draw away from them, but they followed me, and suddenly one of them landed on my shoulder. At the point where it touched my skin, I felt like I was burning. I slapped at the butterfly, and it fell down on the ground dead. Every other white butterfly stopped dead where they were in the air and flew away from me very quickly. Again, my feeling of dread was intensifying. I reached into my robes and pulled out a small hand mirror, feeling like I had to check, and being afraid of what I'd see. That morning, I'd looked into this same mirror, and looked at myself - my hair was black, and I'd let it out of the braid updo, then. Now, though, my reflection had red hair, and it was in those braids.

"See?" said Dahlia in the mirror. "I knew you couldn't hide from me forever, my dear sister."

I screamed and hurled the mirror to the ground, where it shattered into a million pieces, but I could still hear Dahlia's voice. "It doesn't matter what happens to you," she said. "You think you can escape me? I won't let you have what I can't! Phoenix Wright will never love you. And when you die, I'll be waiting on the other side, and then we'll be the same, just like we always were... In fact, why don't you look at yourself? We already are." I looked down at myself, and my hair was red. I was wearing Dahlia's white dress and shoes, holding her shawl, and her umbrella was lying on the ground by my feet.

"Come on, Iris," said Dahlia. She sounded truly sweet, not as mean as she had before. "I love you. You're my only sister - and I'll never hurt you again, I promise. Remember when we were kids, do you remember? Oh, our mother scolded us and hit us, and even though she didn't care, I was always there for you. Iris, I promise, this is all for the best. Just help me... Please, help me. I need your help, just for now. I love you, Iris, I love you, Sis, it's okay..."

I nodded and picked up the umbrella, opened it, settled the shawl around my shoulders, took a deep breath, and did this: Then started to walk down the hill purposefully.
I couldn't control what I was doing, and on the inside I was screaming at myself to stop, but I couldn't. After walking for a few minutes - those white butterflies were following me again - I came back to Kurain. I saw Phoenix - his back was turned to me, and I was hoping from the bottom of my heart that he wouldn't turn around and see me. I wanted him to keep walking away, but I couldn't stop myself. I took a few more steps toward him and called out, "Feenie!"
