Does this point to love, [from perspective of Edgeworth] yes. Romantic love... ambiguous. Anyone who doesn't agree that Phoenix and Maya love each other, canonically, is deluding themselves really, it's the romantic love which is not made 100% explicitly canon. [Personally, the only way I can see it as being interpreted as a 'sibling' love, is if you 'don't want it to be' romantic.... adults do not rapidly become 'siblings' in the space of a few years, even less than a year, anyway. Something's happened in the attachment stakes as early as 2-2...]

There is the fact Phoenix would do anything to save her, even if it meant getting a Guilty man a Not Guilty verdict, The fact that all Maya could do, was draw that picture. (I'm referring to Shelly's Calling card, With Phoenix's face on it.) And the part where Phoenix broke down the second the first part of the Trial ended, and when they said they could find DeKiller, Phoenix was relaxing a bit.

what kind of report did he wrote? hmm...i see ur point.. and not long ago, i've read a fanfic about the card too, it said that franny went back to US just to visit wright's office and gave the card to him, and if i'm not mistaken it happened not long after GS 3 finished... but that's only our imagination....i couldn't wait to know the real story, or maybe capcom already forget about it?

Did that person mention Phoenix/Maya? Does that person frequent this thread? They only said they dislike Iris, they never mention what, if any, pairings they support instead and it's not a matter of 'sides'. [Sounds like a lost n00b to me. Phoenix and Iris : Cute or CUTE? is less explicit a pro-pairing topic name than 'Phoenix and Maya Fan Club'. People always post their opinion of Phoenix on the Hobo or HOBO? thread instead of treating it like a fan club so maybe the person assumed the same?]
For what it's worth, the fact that Takumi decided Iris wasn't worth even an Easter Egg mention in GS4 pretty much confirms he didn't intend Phoenix/Iris to be any kind of future ship after GS3. By contrast he insists on a scene alluding to Maya, [who is the only proven positive relationship to Phoenix continued from games 1-3 in GS4]... moving on

He has to write a report on every single episode. Theres' a lot of DVDs.. so that's a lot of episodes. This is not a small undertaking.
I think they forgot about the card after GS2 :( But we can make up a niiiiice story. How about a fan case. It can happen after 4-4. Franziska returns with this crucial evidence and...

And because they were from Maya (strongly implied), he feels compelled to carry on doing them. Since that is the only known form of contact to the GS1-3 arc. We don't know if he even met with Edgeworth, over a seven-year period. And Edgeworth was the whole reason he became an attorney, so they have a very strong friendship and trust (as proven in 2-4). Maya was a legal assistant, perhaps more. Edgeworth was someone he had known for 18 or more years, so it's obvious how much Maya meant to him.

I checked. The longest is the
fan club (aka Gant can do it all). Edgey's in the prosecutor's lobby is a close 2nd. And afaik the only long fan thread that was locked was "Kristoph Gavin: Stylish or STYLISH?", but that was because the posts got lame in it. So i wouldn't worry.

Ironic, since the rule they keep repeating is 'No Flaming' (or something like that)... And they say we bash their pairing. Then they go and do the VERY SAME THING in their thread. Ironic. Don't flame their pairing because they will hate us more and more. You can think it, say it IRL, but don't type it.

I've just looked through those pages and I've seen a couple people who have stated that P/M is not to their taste which is their right, but going any further then that on the topic gets them chewed out from what I've seen. Bashing is not tolerated in that topic. "I hate P/M" is not bashing no more then saying "I hate P/I" is. Pairing bashing is tearing apart a particular pairing, often unfairly, not stating that you are not fond of it or that you prefer another pairing. In the last two pages, I think that I saw maybe one person say that they disliked P/M and they left it at that. That is opinion, not bashing. There is a difference between saying that you dislike another pairing and bashing it mercilessly.
I personally have no issue with P/M except that I don't much see it happening. Still, it's cute and certainly I have no issue with others shipping it even if I don't.

I wouldn't call it 'hate', more 'misrepresentation'. Many people seem to post there assuming that we dislike Iris because she 'stole' Phoenix from Maya or Edgeworth, not that we might not love her anyway or simply prefer other characters or pairings regardless. I was no fan of Iris even before I 'converted' to Phoenix/Maya-ism. And yes, other people there do sometimes correct them. And I haven't read the thread in detail since they stopped discussing me, and I only posted this message to bump this thread

I guess it's because Maya gets next to no mentions in AJ and therefor hasn't been very present in Phoenix life. I personally think that Phoenix is just closed about his love life.

Funny thing is, I never got my three favorite pairings (Diego x Mia, Phoenix x Maya and Gumshoe x Maggey) on the generator. I wonder why ... ? Does that thing hate me? That would at least explain why it keeps pairing Diego with Oldbag *brrrrr*
