I've been lurking around this forum for a while, since I adore the Phoenix/Maya pairing <3 I even read all 40+ pages of the thread at one point, but I didn't really have anything to contribute.
...until now! XD
I drew this a while back, scanned it and colored it. Yay for P/M fanart? :D Mind you, I'm not too experienced with digital coloring, but I'm pleased with how it turned out nonetheless. I hope you guys like it.

But his hair is probably his best feature! ;_; And it covers his eyebrows too. You know, the part where they make that weird zig-zag. It's like they're forcing him to compromise his identity.

Ok, first off, the video was beautiful, the Roaring Rampage of Revenge was perfect, and exactly what I expected to happen, but mostly, the ending of the video was pure WAFF. Godot looks adorable eating noodles.

It's labeled as a Phoenix/Maya video. I personally didn't think it was too heavily P/M, but it's beautiful nonetheless, and there's a GREAT part with Franziska in it. Especially to those like me who were PISSED OFF when she didn't give Phoenix back the card XD

Which, of course, has wonderful thematic resonance with Phoenix's story arc within AJ.
I also think they did it specifically so he is not immediately identifiable. That way when long-time fans get their first look at Hobo, they get a shock.

[tries to think of explanation] Because unless you're appreciating the finer qualities of the actual relationship itself, [or some kind of self-insertion?], if you're not attracted to your own gender their presence can be kind of superfluous when there's the opportunity for double the hotness and all that? Also it supposedly frees them from gender role stereotypes or something. I don't know. [As for this series, somehow I just can't see Edgeworth or Franziska as straight. I can't support something totally baseless like Apollo/Klavier though]

Aww thanks for your comments. There's only short stuff for this pairing, but people do write epics on that meme. And some people just don't seem to get past GS1 and see the future potential of this pairing *sighs* and I suppose they do have a point that a lot of the fics on that meme don't really show it. And that prompt would require an epic.
..Maybe somebody needs to make more prompts? Forget the 'rule' about filling stuff before making prompts, just have a few of mine...

a lot of times, if there is a strong bond between the two characters, then that's an instant ship, straight or not. PW's no exception hehe. Phoenix and Edgeworth have a very strong bond between each other and there are a few...interesting things they say to each other that makes a lot of us girls think they like each other, which in turn means OTP!! Now why some like yaoi/ yuri more than others, I don't know. Someone who is a fan would probably have a better reason than any I could come up with...
