I read the name Plum Sykes somewhere.
And yesterday while I was waiting for a friend I watched a lady strolling around a bus stop. I look away for a second and suddenly she's holding a mug. That's some Godot-coffee-channeling-powers right there.
(......Ack! I've run out of snide comments!)

You look away, and there's your brother, WaitingforHer.
Get it? Huh? Huh? Do I get a medal?

Earlier my mom was talking about a serial killer that is currently serving time in a prison close to where I live. The serial killer's name is Miles Hawthorne.

Now that's just creepy. It's the kind of name you'd expect out of a badfic writer, not an actual person who killed more than one person.

If said killer killed by poison both times, then... nah, that's suspending too much disbelief.

I was watching a special on the Weather Channel, and it was about tornado survivors who sometimes experience paranormal activity after the strongest of twisters.

One of the people they interviewed was a man named Nick, who spoke of spirits in his house.

Ah, I kept forgetting to post this, but I did have an odd encounter the other day. There's a store at my college where one of the clerks is named Athena. As per protocol they're supposed to ask customers how they're doing and whatnot. I simply replied, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Interestingly, she looked a bit like me. Sure, people say Asians look a lot like each other, but this girl and I were almost identical.

It wasn't until I left the store when I realized just what our short conversation was like... :athena: :apollo:

I had lunch at a fish & chip shop called 'Athenas' :athena:

Which also wasn't helped by the fact that when we were heading to it we passed a music store where someone was playing the piano extremely badly. :hobohodo:

Speaking of Athena, I remember some tv-show my little sister was watching once where a girl was talking about how she'd finally grown enough confidence to dress how she wanted to. She had orange hair with a blue hairband, in pretty much the same style as Athena. :athena:

Somebody in another forum I'm hanging around in wrote about her teacher nerding about "spatical justice" and her still not understanding what it meant, and reading an article full of statements such as "law is spacing itself away from space – it turns against its own turning". Somehow that sentence felt very... Ace Attorney to me.

Sitting in hospital lobby, a doctor walks by wearing an outfit that totally looks like Athena's. All that's missing is the orange hair and WIDGET. And instead of an attorney's badge, she had a stethoscope.

I was watching a little bit of How To Get Away with Murder, and the main character reminds me of Aristotle Means with how she teaches students to defend their client no matter what they need to do.

^ THIS.

I hope she'll have a character development and she'll eventually become a good lawyer.

I get what he's trying to say, though. It's like every time you think about a story with a phoenix, you can't help but picture this lawyer guy flying through the sky wearing Max's hat, cloak, and white roses... and possibly on fire. You don't intend to think toward that image, but it comes so naturally to you that it seems "unintended".

Likewise, I tend to picture any Phoenician (totally unrelated to phoenixes) as on fire. It's an image ingrained into my mind.
