Anyway, the only thing I can see different is this. Lets say that Dahlia was male as well (with them being twins. I'm not saying that because they are twins they have to be the same gender, but it would be easier for Iris to mimic Dahlia). Dahlia would have a bit more difficult time capturing the hearts of the male-dominated courtroom. Also, I doubt she would have tried to woo Phoenix. Seeing as the majority of males are straight and not gay, she wouldn't have come on to Phoenix. Unless of course Phoenix was very obviously gay.
Now, the relationship itself I doubt would have any real problems. But I can see a very puzzled Pearl as a result.

In the scenario where Iris is biologically male but still is the same Iris we see in the games, then I'd say that Iris though biologically male, she identifies as female. This is the scenario that twists canon the least. I don't know if Nick would care if Iris was transexual, but assuming that he didn't know in college and found out post GS3, I think that he'd end up being cool with it. He'd probably even be touched that Iris trusted him enough to tell him.
In the scenario where EVERYONE is genderbended, it's all still basically the same story. Iris and Dahlia are sparkly bishonen, and Feenie is a naiive college girl. Boy!Dahlia easily charms her, and boy!Iris falls in love with her.
